I may not have GM tools, but I have experience working as a substitute teacher in preschools (the blacklist feels like a preschool environment sometime). Is that helpful? I could get some references too. Zofran will probably put in a good word for me. If you guys think I should get paid of course. [:3]

She doesn’t get paid nor have a psych/HR backgrounds, yet still manage the community blacklist thread. Why consider it now?

She is the one who decided to put it on the list and that’s what she been doing.

I meant the additional suggested responsibilities you brought up are significantly more than what she does now.

The only reason I mentioned psych/HR background was because she should not have to do all of those tasks for free, and such if she is paid (which she will never be because I don't even think Tim gets paid), she should have a professional background.
    • letting people submit their reports privately to the blacklist manager(s) to go over the incidence & evidence
    • Blacklist manager(s) contacting the abusers to confront both side of story and evidence privately.
    • Finally, blacklist manager(s) organizing the whole incidence from both side with evidence and decision and post it in blacklist thread would be much more efficient. (But it requires more works for manager though)
This is an enormous amount of work. How much time do you think would go into reviewing each PM'ed report, contacting these players and hearing their sides of the story from players around the globe, and analyzing both sides of the story and using some actual critical thinking to make a judgment what bits of both stories make sense.

In regards to what I meant by tools, Shira doesn't have any access to chat/trade/defame logs unlike GMs, but this is asking her to do well more than any of our current GMs most likely do, not because GMs are lazy, but because this is a lot of work all for a more organized GIOYC thread

To make it easier for her, she can take the report with sufficient proves and post it without abuser’s side of story first, and update if abuser pm her with the other side of proves. (Whichever make sense and easier)

Hearing and reviewing both side of story and making judgments.
    Isn’t she been doing these?
Otherwise, how was she able to manage the thread?

@Shiratsuyu and/or the review counsel should not be posting anything until they've received a response from both parties.
If a party fails to respond within a reasonable amount of time then the review counsel can post the incident under the assumption that the other party does not wish to contest the matter.

She should post it first and add a link of reporter’s prove. She might not even able to find the other side in the first place if she didn’t post it.
If the abuser have other proves, she can update and also add another link of abuser’ prove.

Posting a potentially incorrect telling of the incident could damage the reputation of the party who doesn't post first.
Is it really worth the risk of harming an innocent player's reputation to have an incomplete viewing just because you want to see the process unravel?
It shouldn't matter if the public see the discourse or not because that's the role of the counsel.

as another forum lurker who also browses the blacklist section frequently, I'd like for this rule to be enforced too. Aside from the blacklist being swarmed with petty posts about a measly singular defame, I just wanna read the relevant bickering posts between two opposing parties, but instead I see more memes and one liners and a tyler1 picture every other post, all of which contributes nothing to the whole purpose of the blacklist and is quite frankly more annoying than the posts about one defame

That’s how it works in the current community blacklist.

Isn't the point of this thread to make changes to our current blacklist system?

It is ideal and could work for sure.
it just not realistic and practical to me.

The community blacklist thread is comedy gold and should absolutely remain exactly as it is.
