I used to play back in the day, and I log in every once in a while to check if my valuable items are still there. When I was a kid I bought a ton of wine and beer to get my neopets drunk, and then they changed the item names to "sparkling grape juice" and retired them but the value shot up exponentially.
I played neopets very actively from 2007 to 2018. it's certainly an important game for me, and I think it was around 2021 when I saw the whole site and platform got severely revamped and it killed the game and incentive to play again for me. I had a brown lutari, a pirate eeryie, a black hissi, a baby shoryu, a christmas cybunny and a sketch ruki. I trained them all high in combat, completed the altador plot along with it's banner, and many other things. I'm super fond of the game, I remember checking neobillionaires every day for news, tips, and what games were the most profitable ones.
