    Hi guys,

I've uninstalled norton antivirus, have installed the game on desktop and documents with no success when launching the game.
    I'm getting this error:
"Failed updating the game: remove MapleRoyals.exe: Access is denied."

Could I please get some help!

    Many thanks,

    What's your ISP?

This issue could be due to your ISP blocking access to Royals website

Telstra, you're correct I'm quite certain it was my ISP blocking access to Royals

I am also on Telstra. I have contacted Telstra and received a generic response:
    "
Thank you for reporting this issue to us.

We will work with our security product vendors to investigate why this domain has a poor security reputation, and, if appropriate, arrange for a review of the current restrictions.

Please note that if our security partners (or others) deem the domain as a significant security risk, the restrictions will remain in place.

Also note Telstra can not provide any updates on this process, and you will not hear from us further.

Potential review can take some time, and we encourage you to attempt to access the domain yourself to determine accessibility.

Please continue reading to understand how you may able to facilitate access more rapidly.

Telstra's Network Protection capability only applies to Telstra network connections, and is intended to reduce the chances that our customers will encounter verified malicious content such as phishing scams which can steal personal information, or sites known to be involved with computer viruses (malware).

The only way to reduce any restrictions which may be on the domain is for the owner of the domain to work directly with the organisations which have flagged the domain as suspicious or malicious.

Telstra is not one of those organisations, and in no way can we assist with this process.

Importantly, you should know that the website and Internet domain in question has been independently evaluated by multiple reliable security companies to have a potentially poor security reputation.

This assessment is made by anti-virus companies and other Internet security organisations which find malicious or harmful content online and create lists of the location of this harmful content to protect their users and customers.

What this means is that even if Telstra's security product vendors review the domain in question, many other companies may continue to view it as holding suspicious or malicious content, which will continue to impact the availability of the site well outside of Telstra's network.

The owner of the domain or website must work with their own IT experts to review and improve the reputation score themselves; Telstra can not do this - only the owner of the domain can remediate this issue.

This is also the fastest way to resolve any issues, as only the owner of the domain can attest to their own security controls.

Again, Telstra has no direct control over the domain reputation process, which is why it is essential that qualified technical experts responsible for the domain work directly with the IT security companies which have marked it as having malicious or harmful content.

This malicious content may be present without the awareness or knowledge of the legitimate domain owner, as sometimes criminals can compromise a domain or a website to upload malware, phishing scams, and so on, without consent.

If you have any level of administrative control or access to the domain (or website), we would urge you to work with your preferred IT experts to review the site in question and ensure it is free from any (perhaps unknown) malicious content.

More information regarding the specific risks of this domain can be found at:

    https://virustotal.com/gui/domain/royals.ms

Until such time as all security vendors at VirusTotal agree that the domain is "clean", access restrictions may continue to be applied.

Telstra will not be able to assist further with this matter.

It will require the owner of the domain to work with the companies listed at the link above - as those are the organisations which are marking the domain as malicious.

Telstra's Network Protect capability is being deployed in numerous stages, only covering a small percentage of our customers during each stage.

This means that relatively few Telstra customers should run into any accessibility issues in visiting these sorts of potentially malicious domains.

If you yourself are a Telstra customer and are having issues visiting a domain or website, this is trivial to work around and opt out of by simply doing one of three things:

o Configure your Telstra Smart Gateway to use an alternative DNS provider, such as CloudFlare (1.1.1.1) o Configure your operating system to use an alternative DNS provider, such as CloudFlare (1.1.1.1) o If you have a web browser that supports it, enable DNS over HTTPS and use a DoH provider supported by your browser

Obviously, this may increase the chances that your devices are exposed to malicious domains and websites online, but, any of these three steps provide a simple way for you to personally "opt-out" of the Network Protection capability at any time, either for your whole home network, just your computer or other device, or just your web browser.

There are other solutions; for example, Apple customers can make use of Apple Private Relay which provides a safe, secure, and privacy protecting Internet browsing experience using the Safari browser.

Additionally, a reliable VPN service, such as from Mullvad, ProtonVPN, NordVPN, and others, can provide you with enhanced, secure, private Internet access across a range of devices and platform.

    With kind regards,

    Telstra Cyber Security"
