Hello All! After about a 3 years hiatus of playing this game solo, I have come back to playing after a few of my co-workers were up for a little nostalgia and wanted to play together with me!! I am really excited to be back to a game I look forward to playing every day but I have a few questions. What class do I pick? o.o My friends have chosen to go the NL and Bishop route so I wanted to play a class that fits well with their classes to make us an unstoppable and highly sought-after trio when doing higher-level group content. I was thinking either I/L mage or maybe the spear warrior class but I wanted to get everyone's opinion on what to pick. Ideally, I would want to be able to do a lot of damage since we already have a bishop to buff us, but I know a NL already does provide some of the top damage so wanted to see what niche I could pick in terms of class to fit the two we already have. Cant wait to hear from you all!!
If play trio with bishop and nl i would pick bm. Hes also strong ranged attacker and for bonus night lords are very very VERY benefit SE (bow master skill - Sharp Eye)
ditto. Go Marksmen or Bowmaster if you play with a Night Lord and Bishop. Then if you all stick around a long time, make other characters from there. Some other good combos would be Shad/Bucc/Corsair and Bucc/Paladin/Dark Knight. Eventually, all of you should make a BS or Mage for farming. I don't suggest joining in the leech-story though, party grinding is much more efficient for group-leveling. No need to HP wash either, there is so many HP-gaining options other than washing. Eventually a balance patch is will come, could shake things up so stay tuned and have fun!
Note that Bishops don't offer any damage-increasing buffs (except Maple Warrior and Echo of Hero, which all classes have access to). Someone in your group *needs* to make either a Bowmaster or Marksman for their Sharp Eyes (SE) buff, or your friends will be disappointed by the damage their Night Lords are doing. (This could even be a mule character which just hangs around to provide the buff, in which case you have more flexibility to play a different class.)
