Thief #masterrace get out I'd say the most popular are Bishops, NLs and Heroes. Least popular Marksman, Paladin and F/P (because everyone makes I/Ls instead).
I'm not going to do any speculation here as I have just finished pulling statistics from the database on the number of characters in each job class (excluding GMs and the permanently banned). When this poll closes, or when you feel you've got most of the results in, I'll share the statistics with you =) For now, though, I'll throw something else out for you to speculate on. Much to my surprise, one job class (and we're talking one of the 12 regular job classes here, not Beginner or GM) has a much lower percentage of permabanned players than the others. (Percentage of that job class as a whole - in case I wasn't clear.) Can you guess which job class it is?
Okay, let's see. Bishops/Arch Mages: Botting all day, 2many bans for sure. Not to mention account sharing... Night Lords: There's too many players and too much competition, bound to be some dupers that got banned for good ol' mushie. Shadowers: Glitch abusing all day. #GOLIMAR Heroes: Same as NLs, a lot of competition so dupers will be there. Dark Knights: Potentially this one? There's not too many and the competition is small... Might be abusing BF glitch tho, and #illuminate Paladins: They have to use damage hacks to even be useful @mecheez Bowmasters: Botting Hurricane at Krex lel. SE mules will get banned along with their main, though. Marksmen: No one makes these, so if one player gets banned, that's like 2% of the whole lot. Also, SE mules. Corsair: Enough competition and a hard class, dupers for sure. Buccaneers: Can't even find these, but since they're often SI mules and will get banned along with a main (Mage), I can see this being high. So I'm going with Paladin or Dark Knight.
Gonna give this until the end of the week and see how it goes. Looking forward to the actual results!

OK, time to reveal the database statistics about how popular each 4th job class is! These statistics were collected on 3oth April, the same day this thread was created. The information below shows how many characters there were of each 4th job class on that date - excluding GMs and permanently banned players: Bishop - 744 Night Lord - 317 Hero - 198 Dark Knight - 194 Bowmaster - 181 I/L Archmage - 160 Shadower - 132 Buccaneer - 95 Corsair - 90 F/P Archmage - 68 Paladin - 49 Marksman - 45 As for the job class with the lowest percentage of banned players, that position is proudly held by Buccaneers. The other 4th job classes typically have upwards of 5% of their class permanently banned. Banned Buccaneers, however, represent a mere 1.01% of their job class.
My brackets was almost perfect. Interesting to see how much Bishop truly dominate the community's choice of class.
