Reality check for this server with the lag/dc timing too

It can all get shutdown at any point forever and with no prior warnings. PB/autoban is multi-years away at best case, if ever

At some point, it takes more energy to wear that mask than it does to just be yourself. Everyone in their own context for playing this mushroom game through 2024 onwards has their theoretical tilt/break point for quitting, not caring about what happens, and/or finally moving on with no paths back to the game to tempt them. Kenny hit his. People who come back and hide, bot, hack, illegally farm, etc. know what that point of no return is when they do it. Everyone is conscious of that fork when they make that choice.

You're probably competing more with bots and RWTers than other legitimate players and thats factual

To Kenny, we had some good times while you were in Trinity when I came back in 2023. Thanks for the events, chats, and runs we had and for even making a post like this. Wish you the best!

 

To say im disappointed that another staff member would break peoples trust AGAIN knowing the fallout and damage prior incidents have caused would be a massive understatement. Kenny, I thought you were the one that would finally break through to Matt and Tim showing that they could trust again. No matter what your gripes were, you could have stepped down and taken a break or you could have walked away and left things the way they were. You had other options other than choosing the route you went. I believe you when you say you feel shame on how you handled this. Your lasting legacy will be remembered not as the cute corgi that battled hackers, RWTers, scammers and con artists but as just another GM that let greed ruin them. I hope you take the lessons you've learned here on the Mushroom game and put them to use in your personal and professional life, the best outcome is that this is a real life wake up call and you grow as a person from it. Best of luck man and thanks for the good you did do here.

If you had your grievances with how staff handled stuff then why the need to abuse your powers and RWT?
You could've just resigned and stepped away from having responsibilities.

If you see no future in this server, you would leave the server for good.
The contribution you have done give you more responsibility.

This post and the empathy people show to you just disgusts me.

if it wasn't for Kenny stepping in and giving a second opinion, this player would have been unjustly banned permanently from the server, all because the GM that was handling the appeal refused to see it any other way except his own.

this is by no means me saying that Kenny should be forgiven, what he did is really really bad and inexcusable and goes against every principle of being a staff, there's no denying that, but i think people should not judge too harshly, because imo he really did try his best to be as fair as he can be during his tenure as a GM, until he couldn't.

 

Right of course RWT is bad, but people acting like someone was unalived. Plus we’re all kind of hypocrites as this server technically is going against the guidelines of nexon and should technically not be around. Yet here we are.

Not defending RWT as I look at it “stealing from the company”. However we live in a weird world where we weigh other “bad things” as horrible yet every human does bad things in their lives and everyone of us will make HUGE MISTAKES in our lives huge.

The point of an apology is to take responsibility and redirect the consequences with respect. It's not always "sorry because caught", because otherwise what's the point of an apology? People can't say sorry for their mistakes? Come on.

Second, some of you expect the staff to operate like it's an AAA company. Hosting a server takes a lot of work and things like paying Becca's rent (whether it's true or not) has to be done for private servers to survive. I don't think you realise how much sacrifices they make. Plus there is no limit to external factors, especially attackers, hackers and botters. Compare these to a fixed small team, of course we inevitably get problems like RWT or DDoS attacks right now.

I'm new, but damn some of you (in this thread and Discord) are so entitled and toxic. It's painfully obvious.

Anyway, I don't know you Kenny but you really did make a big mistake. I hope you learn from this and good luck for your path onwards.

Some thoughts:
1. Kenny's been caught on abusing his GMs power, which make his trustability questionable at this moment.

• what's intention of his apology post beside expressing apology?
• if there is other info, did he provide evidence?

2. Kenny's post is not deleted by forum at this moment

• which is good for transparency we embracing.
• royals'team is not obliged to provide evidence against ungrounded false claim

Think twice and make your judgement.

And think twice if my words would go wrong in future if any new evidence shows up.

It comes down to this for me. I been here long enough to know i'm probably gonna be here 'til the day this server fully closes its door (through the good and bad or countless times i take/taken a break ands return) and all Kenny's action has done (whether you realize it or not) is hurt us players. There's so many ways to move on from the game. Didn't have to help the ship sink faster for those of us who wanna go down with it lol

 

I love this thread. Whenever I'm playing this game or on a indefinite break like right now, browsing forums is so entertaining.
