I have to say that the way royals handles perma bans is gutting the already small player base.

Like when its proven you did RWT. Completely delete all that person's accounts from the game forever. Ban the IP with the option to get unbanned after 1 year if you pay like a 25-50 dollar fine. I think the extra income would be great for the royals server. GM's could get some payment for the hours they put in.

If you really want to play royals again after a serious offense paying a fine is reasonable imo. Instead of perma banning people that are willing to start from scratch after being banned for a year. If the player paid a fine and cheats again its a perma ban forever off course. You had 2 chances to play fair.

(Kenny deserves a perma ban with no option to return, because he was in a position where his behavior should have been exemplary.)

 

I think this server is a bit too lenient towards RWTers.

People get banned, ban evade, and then go back to RWTing.

I propose Matt allocate some of our donations and directly fly to the IP addresses of some of these RWTers and flog them with a whip.

 

Please don't make this game like the real world, where the rich can just pay money to avoid the consequences of their actions.

I will donate $100 to the server if @Matt is willing to commit to putting it toward this.

I'm not part of the community at all, or have much interest in playing, but it's still saddening to see this happening time after time. Not many can be trusted with that much power and I just hope you guys are able to find some trustworthy individuals.

 

I apologize for derailing this pretty serious thread.

I just think it's pretty ridiculous to even consider people who have more resources IRL a longer leash or straight up the ability to legally buy their way past the people who put in the hardwork.

Also this isn't even considering currency conversion rates.

People who RWT once are very likely to RWT again.

My flogging comment was reactionary to how insane I think legalizing RWT or letting players pay a RWT fine and play again.

It's fine that you sead mod or whatever your rank is (I'm never aware of who the staff are), but I feel that threads are equally opened to listen to your community, since that's what mapleroyals is made of from the same community for the community, I feel that you closing the thread is a bit threatening to the few who try to express their point of view to the situation.

 

How do ya'll think people can create new accounts and fully wash them instantly. RWT is part of Royals whether you like it or not..

 

But at least ppl who run this server kinda do everything they can to minimize it.

Miss me with its "Part of Royals whether you like it or not". Any player that gives a crap about the server in any meaningful way cannot stand RWT or the people that do it or that benefit from it. We are here because of what money did to original Maplestory. When you become apathetic to something as insidious as RWT you allow the thing you love to be destroyed by it. Those of us who care wont let that happen here
