Obviously. I always say that when someone gets scammed in such an obvious way then both parties are at fault, one is responsible for their own FM purchases. Like the saying, a fool and his gold are soon to be parted. Doesnt make the seller any less guilty, but ppl need to be responsible for their own buys.
1. IGN: OutOfArrowz 2. REASON: Toxicity 3. DETAILS: Found an FM spot and was opening a shop and this guy just cut in and stole it immediately. Proceeded to post up cheap items to force me to buy out the spot and ran off after running out of excuses when confronted. I understand that "stealing" of FM spot itself is not subjected to being blacklisted but I believe that the context is different in this case.
If you buy all of the items in a hired merchant, the shop will not close. That only works with the store permits. Also, the items are competitively priced, such that I do not think that placing them there was an attempt to make you buy junk to get the spot back. It sounds like OutOfArrowz had been trying to reset his shop, and got caught out by not having enough inventory space, and so had to run to Fredrick and back. That will be what he meant by it being originally his spot, and is why you did not see him when you first tried to grab the spot. This is really not toxic. The toxic people are the ones who sit waiting for somebody to be trying to re-set their shop, and snag the spot the moment they do. Clearly not what happened in this case. Even if this were blacklistable, screenshots need to be uncropped
Whether he was trying to reset or not doesn't really matter at the end of the day, as he wasn't there when I arrived and he cut in and open a shop quickly when he saw me there. In addition, he decided to run off after being confronted when he ran out of explanation. The point of the shop having a 1 day expiration is so that no one could "own" a spot forever. If I lose the spot due to my own mistake of not resetting it within 24 hours, I can't just tell the new guy that this was originally my spot because my shop was here an hour ago and I forgot to reset it. I think this is considered as a toxic behavior as he ran off right after I justified that the spot does not belong to him just because he claims that 'originally' it was his spot, and cutting in on someone you are aware that is opening their shop there. Toxicity is a behavior, it should not be narrowly defined as just "people are the ones who sit waiting for somebody to be trying to re-set their shop, and snag the spot the moment they do.". I have taken the uncropped screenshot of the chat if that was what you were referring to.
Are we just posting anything on this thread? This is not black-list worthy, not even close. also that person is extremely nice from my interactions with him
No matter what method, only botter can be reported and ban, other method all can be use to get any fm spot, can go to first page and check the fm spot stolen spoiler
Gotta post better screenshots then, since what you show only has him saying 4 sentences, none of which are very toxic. Posting some cheap items is kinda weird but I wouldn't say toxic, might just be keeping the spot while transferring items from mules.
I am just reporting what I thought was a toxic behavior based on my experience. Whether it is blacklist worthy or not is not up to me nor you to decide. I did try to communicate with him regarding the issue, but he chose to run off instead after running out of explanation. As the first page stated I did try to resolve it peacefully. Like you mentioned that is YOUR experience, just because I have a nice experience interacting with someone does not mean that he/she can't be an ass to someone else. Hence it is a biased opinion.
OutOfArrowz only said things to you after you initiated a confrontation by saying "Wtf" "Good job stealing my spot", a spot that really isn't yours to begin with
Yup lesson learned It boils down to etiquette at the end of the day. It is like stacking EQs that has failed slot with clean ones and selling them at the same price. The act itself isn't against any rules and it is the buyer responsibility to check. Whether it is blacklist-worthy or not aside, if that is a legitimate reason to report, I don't see why this isn't.
I feel like there's a misunderstanding in what he's reporting for and what everyone else seems to be thinking what he is reporting for. While the crux can be about taking the FM spot, the report is more of the attitude/behavior rather than the fact the FM spot is stolen. To put it in another way, imagine you are queuing up to buy something and the person in front of you walk away (In this case, Arrow) and the queue moves up, after a few minutes you find him cutting the queue by walking up in front of you and telling you that it is his spot originally and he would buy his stuff and just walk away ignoring you. Anyone would be pretty shocked and understandably frustrated in a similar way. Whether you agree with the sentiment or not, it is fair for not just him but others that may believe it is kinda fucked up.
It's not about what he said that is toxic, it is the attitude and what he did. Yes, I confronted him and he ran away after I've explained that his reason for cutting in was invalid. He was the one mentioned that the spot was 'originally his'. It's like queueing for the latest iPhone for hours and someone cuts infront of you and say that he went home for a short nap and the spot infront of you was originally his before that. Anyone would have the same reaction as I did.
Well, then I guess everyone that doesn't feel that it is unethical would be okay if what I just mentioned above happens to them then.
It did happen to us too, but in the end still dint break any rules and what he say is very normal if some people like dont know the rules and come argue with him, just let it go, u wanna do internal guild blacklist or whatever u can do for it but at this community blacklist we cant do anything for u
