Hi guys. I have the pianus quest to continue the story. Issue is, I can never find him because people boss hunt him. Which generally is fine, but bc one needs him for a quest, it makes impossible to advance on the game. People leave their characters in the channels to wait for him. There is no way of knowing when he will spawn next, it can be 16 or 24 hours. I think people who need bosses for a quest should have a priority, IDK if thats even possible. But it's really crappy to wait day after day to go in there and check hoping you can just defeat a boss to continue the story but you can't because people obsessively hunt him :/ it's really unfair and it makes me feel like I will not be able to continue the game. I've been stuck on this for weeks now :/ Thank you for reading and for the work put into the game.
A trick to boss hunting is never to wait for it to spawn. Randomly, just go to the map, change a few channels and check. If there is no boss spawn, move on to other things. And repeat it randomly , random times of the day
You're aware that you don't have to do every quest, right? You can do every piece of content in the game (besides that quest and pianus I guess) without killing pianus. The story is also isolated to that one questline, there's no real overarching story in oldschool maple. I'd recommend just checking all channels occasionally, and if no fish, go do something else instead.
every now and then i look for pianus and usually i find 1-2 each time you can leave your ign here and i will gladly pm u in game to come get the kill!
i have tried that. multiple times a day, different days, different hours. i got lucky once and walked in a player at 1.6% who was kind enough to wait for me and my gf who also needed the kill. ty for the tip, ill keep doing it!
some people enjoy doing quests. im one of them. i like doing quests, even jump quests and grindy ones. secondly, this also gets in the way of people who are doing an ironman challange. and third, there is very much people who monopolize the mini pianus market by hunting him nonstop so nobody else can have it, therefore hogging heros will - a skill thats very important for bossing later on and make things lots easier.
