edit: This suggestion is now in the game so nothing more needs to come of this thread! TY Tim! This message appears on the Winter Dash entry prompt: But the problem is, it takes several seconds or clicking again to make it appear. If you just click to enter right away, like all of us do, then it looks like this: I never saw the red text there in all my times entering Winter Dash, until I actively searched for it (because I saw people getting banned). I had my guildmate get banned because they never saw this text, so now they're completely out of the event. Not as necessary, but I also think the blue text that advertises Winter Dash starting should state this, because its not in the actual MapleRoyals rules. I double-checked here and found nothing on it, so I think this really needs to be much more clear in-game. The only reason I knew this was a rule is because I saw Foxy at an event telling us, but what about the events they're not at? Just removing that scrolling text effect would make this a lot more clear to people! I don't want to see people get
BTW anyone looking for where the rules are for dash, it's in here: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/glitch-abuse.186416/ Which is hidden all the way inside T&C at (took me forever to find the first time, but google can also bring you right there) The map for Dash does say "Event"
thank you for the effort Iamjelly even though you are not in the midst of troubles due to this. and also GM for the quick respond.
Yeah, I'd agree with that. Were we allowed to do Pierre on multiple characters? Some people really didn't know about this rule. I considered doing it on an alt but saw Foxy say we can't. If it weren't for seeing Foxy in game, I'd probably have gotten banned too.
Additional reading for you: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/glitch-abuse.186416/ Please note the following: Spoiler: Multiple characters in an event map What is it: The act of bringing more than one of your own characters into an event map when the map is designed to only allow one of your characters inside at a time. Some event maps with this restriction include, but are not limited to, certain GM-hosted events and seasonal boss events (e.g. Russian Roulette, Cake Boss, Snowman, etc). How to avoid it: Only enter event maps with this restriction on one character at a time. You can check if a map has this restriction by trying to enter the map on two different characters on one device (two, or more clients). Short Answer: Yes, but you had to wait for one character to leave the map before another one can enter the map on another channel. Duck's Opinion: I think the text in the "Glitch Abuse" thread is terribly written. One could read it to mean "If the game allows you to go in with multiple characters, it's okay to do so" because it is literally asking the player to check if the restriction exists to determine whether they can or cannot use multiple characters. The game isn't always successful at detecting it so the player can get in while checking and they would never even know that they bypassed a defective restriction, thereby committing glitch abuse. I know that the interpretation above is not what the staff intended but this was the logic I was hearing in-game from people who truly believed they were allowed to use multiple characters. Personally, I think all cases where this rule applies should have the warning in some way or another.
