Can we request to have an option for existing Jrs of a guild to request for the post of Guildmasters after a long period of GM inactivity?

Inactivity duration can be say 3 months, 6 months etc.

Like a new button in guild only seeable by Jrs, labelled Request for GM Post or something

I've searched in forums and this idea comes out back to 2013 but there doesn't seem to be any solution other than deleting the guild and starting all over

Could we put something like this in the backlog as this is a good qol update for the very old guilds (and GM gone missing in action, like mine T.T)

(not related but this blends in well with inactivity checking for a player, could be used in various ACM features like rankings, eg if someone had last logged in over a year ago)

Very good idea. Its a shame that if a guildmaster is banned or disappears, the guild is dead.

Supposedly if more than 1 Jrs (3 or 4 of them) applied for the Guild Master role, how would the new Guild Master be chosen?

Also, the problem with handing over a guild position after a certain amount of inactivity such as 6 months, is that the old guild master may still want the position upon returning to the game

I think this can be simplified to as long as a Guildmaster did not login for a specific amount of time at all, the first Jr to apply for the post of GM will get it

The duration of how long the inactivity to last before the transition I can leave it up to the admins to decide

Huh I don't actually see this as a problem - I thought GMs are supposed to be the most active (and proactive) person in the guild since they're shouldering heavy responsibility being a leader of over a hundred people. I feel that logging in at least one time in 6 months (or higher) would be the minimum requirement

Naturally the curated Jrs of the guild themselves are selected Jrs for a reason - the GMs trust them - so if a GM announces he's going on a 1 year hiatus and makes known his intent clear he will return a year later, his or her trusted fellow circle of Jrs naturally would not lay claim to the title of GM and manage the guild well in the meanwhile

Not sure if its possible, but what if a new tab was added that only the leader has access to.
The tab could contain check boxes with options like:
•Transfer ownership if inactive for [X] amount of time.
•Demote JRs if inactive for [X] amount of time.
•Kick regular members if inactive for [X] amount of time.
Then a drop-down list for each option, so you can exclude specific members, for situations where individuals declare that they need to take a temporary break for whatever IRL thing they have going on.
This way the Leader has given their consent to giving away ownership if they do use the checkbox.
This could also be a useful QoL feature that can help leaders manage their guild more efficiently.
In the end, if all the JRs get kicked for inactivity, then the guild was meant to die.
