Lately I've noticed you let us know in-game 30 minutes before an event is about to start. So I thought, how about setting up a notice on the forum, just like when there's a server check. I think it would be very useful, since the forum is a fundamental part of the game, and I myself and I'm sure many others tend to check the forum often, while not actually being online in the game. If there would be a notice on the forum, many of us could actually come online and enjoy the events. I think this one is fairly easy to set up, and may serve us all. Please consider it, thanks in advance.
I disagree. Events should be a chance for a reward for those who are actually online playing and not for everyone. If you are fortunate to be online when an event is announced, you're lucky and have the opportunity to participate and perhaps earn a prize. Otherwise, if you're offline, you should be on Royals and not missing out on the notice
I think all Servercheck should be announced day and time, something like making a game of calendar showing the days that there will be SC. But this should not be possible lel
I believe this has been discussed before and the conclusion we came to was that it'd be too easy to set up a webapp that fed people updates from the site to alert them if there was an event coming up, which could lead to people just coming online for the event and nothing else which leads to 1. overcrowding of the event and 2. people who are already good at events involving skill/knowledge of some kind would monopolize them even more than they do already.
