Bougie 8 Man VL Clear

When we decided to go for an 8-man VL, I wasn’t sure if we’d pull it off—but here we are! Second ever 8-man VL clear on the Royals server (I think?). First clear creds go here, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some random Chinese server out there with a clear too

This run was a big one for me. I’ve been VLing with mostly the same group for about a year-ish now, and honestly, I couldn’t be prouder of this team. There’s no guide for doing an 8-man VL. You’re just winging it, staring at your spreadsheet, and trusting your bougie VL friends to hold it down—and they did just that.

I really thought this might be our first VL fail in a year. We’ve been so consistent on the Bougie server, but going in with 8 felt like such a risk. I even debated making it a 10-man at the last second because I kept second-guessing everything. But after crunching the numbers, I realized our 10-man Apple DPM lined up pretty evenly with 8-man VL Pot, so we sent it

Big shoutout to @Solsticio for proving me wrong. I wasn’t sure about bringing a DrK since it’s not the typical Bucc + Shad meta, but Eng showed us why she's one of the strongest + skilled DrK on the server. Same goes for @anglerfish1 ’s MM and Eng’s NL—people doubted us early on when we started running 10-mans with that combo, but now we’ve cleared over a dozen. Sticking with the people who’ve been grinding with you since the start always pays off.

This run wasn’t just about the clear; it was about the team. Everyone stepped up and played their part perfectly, and it’s wild how smooth this felt despite my constant worrying. VL isn’t an easy boss, but when you’ve got a squad like this, even 8-man clears feel possible.

My bucc couldn't pass 2 OA STR 30% scrolls in a row on ANY pirate overall for 180 lvls (Pioneer, Marquini, Belly Duke) and I boomed some random items including a 28/7 1 slot Calas that I wanted to gamble to 40 stat earlier and said: w/e... my luck will return with an overall this time.

Bought random 6 OA str 30% and said that if I scroll fast some should pass in a row, tried a clean 11/6 Pioneer after booming a similar stat Marquini on 1st slot.
1st slot failed, then 4 passed in a row to 31/6/5 and I resumed with event scrolls to replace my old 33/7 Pioneer with this self scrolled yellow beauty.
