    Hi!
I'm having trouble with not being able to perform actions in-game by continuously holding down ctrl, alt or shift to perform an attack, a skill or a jump.
    I'm using Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon 6.2.9.
Playing the game using Lutris version 0.5.17 and Wine version 5.0.3.

    Edit:
Also tried with my Windows 11 laptop, after updating the game I had the same problem which is weird, because holding keys worked before the recent update.

Unable to replicate the said scenario with my Windows 10 laptop

Will wait and see if anyone reports the similar issue - of being unable to spam CTRL, ALT or SHIFT keys

EDIT: In the first thread I linked above, @Zancks links a possible fix which I reported (in the second thread I linked above) did not work for me. I finally found my issue: Trying to adjust any of the FilterKeys (RepeatKeys) settings in Control Panel after setting them in the registry resets all values to lie within the allowed Control Panel ranges.

Long story short, to fix this issue:

    1. Modify the registry as suggested here: https://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/344489/cant-long-press-alt-or-ctrl-only-once-at-a-time
    2. Do not alter any FilterKeys (RepeatKeys) settings in Control Panel afterward.

If you accidentally alter FilterKeys (RepeatKeys) settings in Control Panel, restart from (1).

    Hi my friend!

IS it possible to let me know how did you install Royals on Mint? I just moved to Linmux and I was not able. I got wine and Lutris :(

I am also having this issue. Although I am running linux (Ubuntu 22.04), this issue does not seem to be unique to linux. The fixes for windows do not work for me. I have tried:

    - Changing repeat-key delay and speed (even < 300ms delay and < 30ms speed)
    - Multiple usb keyboards. None of them work.

edit: Actually, it seems that many linux machines don't repeat modifer key press events (i.e. ctrl/alt/shft), at least at the software level. `showkey` command reveals that my keyboard is indeed sending numerous key codes while holding ctrl/alt/shft. rip. I guess I'll just map them to zxc now lol.
