All Your Character Names: CheekyMage, HarpyLady (two different accounts)
Last thing you did: Just logged in to check out the new patch. I was in Ludi with Harpylady just fighting teddies.
Why do you think you got banned?: I'm worried that maybe my account was hacked. I can't seem to get in and haven't done anything different.
Ban message when attempting to log in: This is an ID that has been deleted or blocked from connection.
    What GM banned you (optional):

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm worried I have been hacked...

    Hi there.

You have been permanently banned for major vote abuse.

You have voted on more than one account each day, resulting in vote abuse.

This gives you an unfair advantage over your peers and is a bannable offense.

    Hi there,
Thank you for clarifying. I genuinely didn’t know this. A lot of friends have multiple accounts and assumed it was okay to vote.
So you can have multiple accounts and just vote on 1 only?

I think permanently banning a player who has played for some time and donated money to the game is a little unfair. Especially when I have always conducted myself with respect and upheld positivity to the community. Perhaps a warning or limited suspension may have been a more reasonable action. I simply would have just refrained from doing it.

a little clarification on why it is a straight up permanent banned straight up would at least be nice.
    Thank you

Hello. Couple of items to address.
    • We do not take into consideration a user's donations when dealing with bans. We expect all players to abide by our Game and Forum Terms and Conditions regardless of donation and/or length of playtime.
    • Our voting rules are posted in numerous locations including our Game Terms and Conditions, In game, and plastered on our voting page each time you vote. There should be no excuse as to why a warning is necessary when you clearly ignored the posted rules.
      • Game Terms and Conditions:
        1. Vote Abuse - The act of attempting to, or successfully, bypassing the restrictions of voting no more than once per day (UTC). Please be aware that, in cases of severe abuse as per discretion of Staff, we reserve the right to respond with a permanent ban regardless of if it is your first offense.
      • From the voting page:
        • You need to have at least 1 character level 15 or above to be able to vote.
        • You may only vote once per day. Votes are reset at midnight UTC (06:16:17 until reset).
        • Each household may only vote once per day. If there is more than one player in your household, you need to be accepted on our voting whitelist before each of you is allowed a daily vote.
      • Voting Rules (also linked from the main voting page):
We classify vote abuse as Major and Minor. Our Administrators issue our vote abuse bans, and review them thoroughly before issuing these bans. In your case, the amount of multiple voting you participated in warranted a permanent (Major Vote Abuse) ban. Your appeal is denied.

My last question is why would you let it go on for so long then? Allowing me to put more time and money into the game without any kind of warning.

    Thank you for your response.

I think this is a good post to keep up. Especially for other players in the same position as me who have been doing the same thing. Putting time effort and potentially money into a game to be permanently banned well after the fact. Hopefully others aren’t out in the same position as me.

We did not keep you unbanned so we could collect more donations. Our administrators have their methods for catching/banning vote abusers, and you fell into that group. If you want others to learn anything, it should be to follow the rules that are clearly displayed in numerous locations. TLDR: Don't break the rules and you won't get banned. It's not rocket science.
