Closed I was banned 2019 for something i wrote. I would love to play again with my character :(

I have reviewed the evidence. You account shared, or otherwise made a very believable claim of account sharing.

The IP address thing is irrelevant. You are not allowed to share your account with anybody, whether they are in your household or not.

You will remain permanently banned for account sharing, as was decided in your original appeal.

 

To add to what I said above, this is what you/ your brother said in your buddy chat. This is either account sharing, or a believable claim of account sharing. It does not matter which it is though, because both are a permanent ban.

Whether the truth is you lied to get somebody to leave you alone, and you made up the excuse of having a brother that may or may not be real, for a reason that could have easily been solved by simply communicating you weren’t in the mood to talk, we still have to follow protocol and handle this matter as how it was reported to us.

We review ban appeals on a case by case basis. Account sharing 30 day bans happen very rarely because most of the time the person’s already done too much damage. Sometimes we are able to catch it, or the person self-reports it to us and then we get the Admin to look into it to verify to make sure their story checked out; that they only logged in for X, and didn’t touch anything too important.
IE: powerleveling, borrowing someone’s mules, selling items on the owner’s behalf, logging in to retrieve items, giving an account away, etc.

The part that is in bolded black is why you were originally banned.

Your words copy-pasted word for word from the report provided by Heidi indicates that your brother was logging in to sell your items, moving items around on an account that didn’t belong to them– thus gaining an advantage over other players, which led to the original account sharing ban.

We cannot be lenient with this because you had your brother sell your items on your behalf while playing on your account.

Then, you told us it was a lie and an excuse you made up, which upgraded the ban from account sharing to believable claim:

The report that was made shows pretty damning evidence of you pretending to be your brother to sell items in your buddy chat, if this story is true it still would’ve resulted in a permanent ban based on the believable claim you made.

Additionally, if Staff somehow agreed that wasn't good enough evidence to ban based on a believable claim, there's another section under the account sharing appendix I quoted that says: "7. Wasting Staff time by lying about the account sharing;" which can still fall under a permanent ban, and would most likely be applicable to this case.

There's 3 paths this appeal can go-- and all three of them unfortunately lead towards a permanent ban.

We do not need any of that and we don’t recommend posting that publicly to the forum either. The amount of times we have seen the excuse “it was my brother!” when cheaters get caught is precisely why we can’t be lenient in this case.
I’m sorry this happened to you, but all you had to do was tell the person you didn’t want to talk to them, and wanted to chill out on your own for a bit. Instead of fabricating a story about having a brother that may or may not exist in the first place, logging into your account to sell your items for you while you were away.

If your brother logged in from the same IP, and the same computer then that complicates this process for the Admins to unravel.

We have to treat this as it is, and based on what you said in-game, because what you said was a believable claim.

Because we have rules in place for both scenarios, and everything is easily accessible and takes roughly 10-20 minutes of your time to read them.

We have told you. Numerous times. 5 different Staff members from 5-6 years ago, and now.
Dave even talked to you about this in the shoutbox earlier today, and tried to explain it to you as well.

I’m pretty sure the Admins could recover it because we don’t delete data, but the fact of the matter is you are permanently banned for originally account sharing, that got upgraded to making a believable claim about account sharing.

Your “joke” went on for too long for us to even consider giving you leniency back then and now, and shouldn’t have been said in the first place because account sharing is a serious offence as per the Terms and Conditions.

We have also banned your new account as well and we will ban any more accounts you make to bypass your ban. You as a person are banned as per our Terms and Conditions.
I will be locking this thread because we’ve been beating this dead horse since 2019.
We only revise permanent bans if they were given out by mistake– this was not a mistake.

Making a new Ban Appeal will result in WP and a potential forum ban, and talking about your ban in the shoutbox will result in a shoutbox ban.
