I'm surprised I couldn't find another thread about this. Just did a run where the corsair dc'd, then the shad dc'd at around 35% hp, 2nd body, so I figured I would just push through to the end on my Marksman. However he stops doing the tongue attack since I'm out of range and spams the attack where his hitbox goes into the ground.. over and over.. to the point where I wasn't hitting him for 10 seconds at a time. Can his hitbox be moved ABOVE ground for that animation? Please and thankyou.
Not sure why this thread is closed. This hasn't been fixed nor confirmed it's not a bug yet. Basically whenever b2 toad casts the wave/tsunami attack its hitbox shrinks or goes down to the ground, making it unhittable from certain positions. I would guess this is a similar hitbox bug as in v1 and v2. Hopefully staff can look into it.
Don't have a video on hand. But for range attackers it's around the blue candle/wall region (out of lick range), for bucc you will notice sometimes toad is untargetable with barrage. I assume you are hitting fairly close to toad when you are hitting it from behind, but likely you'll notice it when you are attacking at the max range.
Only took a little over 2 years for other people to complain about the bug Volley requested that i re-open this but I don't have the option to in edit. Can a dev look into this or provide feedback this time? I believe a reasonable waiting period has been reached
Hi @Matt Tested toad's hitbox today, and the fix did make its hitbox a little better. However, it appears that its hitbox still shrinks whenever it casts the tsunami wave attack, whereas its other attack doesn't shrink as much. Reference gif and video:
