Dear Royals Team, I’d like to suggest a quality-of-life change regarding the Reuel daily quests. Would it be possible to adjust them from a daily (once per day) format to a weekly format (up to 7 completions per week)? This change would offer much more flexibility for players who cannot log in every day, while still keeping the same total reward structure. Even for those who do play daily, there are times when boss runs are actively being recruited while I’m stuck doing Reuel, and other times when there’s not much happening on the server at all. In addition, I would like to raise some concerns regarding the current quest design. As you know, Reuel quests require players to hunt monsters for specific drops in order to increase their max HP. However, these drops are probability-based and can sometimes be very difficult to obtain, which can discourage players from continuing the grind. Moreover, the quest pool is relatively small—after just a few rotations, the same monsters and tasks begin to repeat. Once a player has collected all five monster cards in a set, the motivation to continue can significantly drop. To address this without discarding the current quest framework, I’d like to propose a simple change: instead of collecting three drops from three different monsters, could the quests be modified to require one main drop (as currently) and two additional kills from new monsters not previously used in Reuel quests? This would greatly improve quest diversity, reduce monotony, and reintroduce some excitement for players who are grinding towards max HP. It also provides a reason to revisit lesser-used maps and explore more of the world without changing the fundamental structure. Thank you for your time and for continuing to develop such a nostalgic and enjoyable server. Your efforts in keeping the experience alive and fresh are truly appreciated.
Now that I have a job I see it feasible, 7 missions in one day for the week, nowadays days where I work double shifts at work and do more than 15 hours and when I get home I only get to sleep, and without playing it it is a wasted day, please add this option to all of us who work, remember that here most of us are 25+ years old and we are responsible. pls pls pls pls :c
It's already been suggested by me before in 2023 or so and even here: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/reuels-daily-timer-vs-weekly-timer.235049/ Staff is content with the way Reuel is now and there's nothing we can do to change their minds unfortunately. You'll just have to either sacrifice sleep or spend a few years gaining HP.
Pretty sad they'd deem anything related to Reul as lowest piority and these threads again would fall into oblivion...
Some players are worried that switching Reuel to a weekly system would allow “extreme” players to save on one or two weeks of Fast Travel passes. For example, by buying a one-day ticket and grinding all 14 quests from Sunday night to Monday morning. But honestly, this concern doesn’t hold up. Anyone who’s willing to grind all 14 quests in one session still needs to invest a huge amount of time and effort. They might save a bit on travel cost—while players who log in daily would still need to purchase fast travel tickets for bossing or other content—they also lose far more in terms of mesos and EXP they could have earned elsewhere (like APQ, farming, or leeching mules). The opportunity cost outweighs the savings by far. And let’s not forget who actually gets punished under the current system: weekend-only players. These are people with jobs or school, who can’t log in Monday morning even if they wanted to. They get locked out of a full week of Reuel simply due to real-life schedules. If someone genuinely cares that much about saving a tiny bit of mesos, they’d likely go the meso-making + HP washing route from the beginning, not commit to hours of time-consuming HP quests.
Tbh I still agree with keeping the quest as it and just keep adding more ways to gain hp instead, just not like RG cuz that HP ratio is horrible f3
Really hoping staff would revisit this QoL suggestion. Easy change and no real downside. Reuels is a great alternative to the HP washing meta but some of us have jobs
I'm not playing at all anymore (or even voting), grinding a tiny bit of hp every day bc my 200 mm is still hp gated isn't fun or how I want to spend my time. If I could do a bunch at once I'd definitely log for that, or if there were actual ways for high lvl chars to pool additional hp, but there's not. RG hp is a joke, and it's 40 minutes for even less hp than one daily ruel. There should definitely be a lvl 200 hp quest. It gives players who didn't wash or won't be at their goal by 200 a reason to continue leveling, and something new to look forward to once they level cap. Again, PB is unwelcome content without additional HP growth methods for players. Most people still can't VL/toad. Raise the ruel softcap allow weekly ruel pool quests instead of 1x daily buff RG potions add more hp pooling methods/eq/scrolls fix the invisible pet ribbon equip [it doesnt work on all pets that are supposed to be able to eq it still] let lvl 200 chars continue to develop hp instead of abandon the server Also, I'd love to be able to do ruel party quests as suggested elsewhere, I'm sure friend groups, partners, and guilds would as well so they can actually play an MMO and not do more solo grinding
