Born in Canada and I now live in the States. Consider me Whasian if you wish; my mum's grandfather was white, but that's too far down the line for me. I'm specifically Taiwanese.

Randomly remembered this post and wanted to rectify what I said. My grandmother considered Napoli to be "the North", and some of my family is from there, which is where I got confused. Reality is, we're mainly from Avellino and Reggio Calabria, and my Father's side is from somewhere in Sicily and Calabria, and he's part Dutch and/or Czech. We really don't know where his/my last name comes from, as we always thought it was Dutch, and the other folk with our last name who settled in Denison, IA, say they're Dutch. I've recently spoken to my Czech coworker who thinks my surname may actually be Czech, but we'll likely never know for sure, as it was butchered when immigrating to America, as were tons of other families' names.
