What about a permanent tree?

Do you think something like this will work to get us as a communtiy closer together?

    Heya!

    Since the anni event is over I’m clearly missing something. And I was thinking the anni event brought us as a community closer together. Like most events do.
    But what if we can make this happen? Without an event running.
    My idea is something like a permanent Tree. With some nice rewards at a lower rate. But what it makes to go out an grind again. Like some of us did for sunshine.
    I’ve seen how people always rushed to the tree when the message came that it has grown to 60%. Even when the rewards weren’t always that great. But the chance to win a bigger thing helps.

    Maybe we can even link a new HP feature to it. Like when you turn in like a lot of the needed ETC you get a medal or a HP potion?
    Maybe even make this etc an reward from PQ’s to make the group play alive again.
    You can also make it a daily thing so people are encouraged to do stuff with other people. Otherwise only mage farmers will take the most profit out of it.

    Or even a little wilder maybe, what if we make it also a little competetion about it. Like between guilds. Not a classic competition but more like another 'gamble' thing.
    EG: Each guild gets in a draw list when they reach a total of xxxx inturns. And then one time a month a winner gets picked. For maybe some stuff like 'extra exp or drop rate, hp/mp pots'
    It would make it a thing to look forward each month to be excited who will win!

    Let me know what you think, its just an idea I wanted to share with you all.

    I know this has been quiet, but I actually really like the idea, we push so much in this game into playing for 'the long term' (Daily HP quests, Daily bosses, etc)

    Well we should include ways that encourage long term play.

    What about instead of a random prize or a medal, we just have a slow burn snow machine like mechanic or boss. People contribute, but instead of rushing when we hit 80% or whatever, it summons a boss, and then this boss gives tokens if you participate enough for prizes.

    One of which could be exchanged for say a shoulder with 25 slots and special shoulder scrolls that give +10/20 HP but no stats, maybe throw in a few other random things like some cool NX. Small buff items, etc. Summon Sacks, and/or stuff that would help someone breaking in, trying to mid game, etc.

    End game, they'd probably want stats instead of HP so it's not a BiS.
    You could put some chairs/NX items that could be fun.
    Maybe gives a place for some of the decent, but not that useful buff items.

    Maybe you put some big cool downs like every 12 hours or something. Build it up that the shoulder would take 2 months of grinding, or something.

    I would like to add to your Tree idea! :)



    Make the turn-in item...

    Monster ETCs that are not used for anything (like quests / exchanges etc.)
    - Bring more meaning to seemingly useless items

    Monster ETCs from monsters not commonly hunted
    - Redirect more traffic to maps and monsters and prevent them from being "wasted content"



    Make the rewards...

    EXP Buff (maybe 10% for 1 Hour) that doesn't stack with HS
    - Will mainly benefit new/lower level/solo/casual players
    - No benefit to players in situations that already have HS (leeching, MuleStory etc.)
    - Encourages players to go do content (like PQ) where HS may not be available, further incentivizing party play and socializing

    Attack Buff (maybe 25wa/35ma for 1 Hour)

    - Not too OP, same power as energizer
    - Benefit new/less funded players who don't burn energizers

    Untradable Potions (maybe 3000Hp/1000Mp, can stack to 300)
    - Relieve some of the potion costs of new players
    - Untradable so people are not there just to farm it
    - Help certain classes who need to save inventory space due to burning a lot of potions
