Details of the issue: I'm having issues with disconnecting from the game, sometimes on multiple clients sporadically, with 4 clients open at a time. I rarely disconnect from the game and when I do randomly disconnect during other instances, it'll be a straight black screen. The disconnecting will usually start when I notice myself lagging, can't go through any portals in the current map in-game, monsters stop moving, other game characters stop talking and drops stop getting picked up by pet autoloot, etc. Then after 5-10 seconds of this, the screen will go black sideways and freeze for 1 second before kicking me to the login page. This has been happening for 2 days so far, I have not yet had any disconnecting issues recently or for a while. I am located in NA and my ISP is Verizon. See screenshot of me logging back in after dc'ing from PPQ. What error code were you given(if any): No error code, but it will usually give me a standard, you cant login or you have been disconnected at the login page. *Edit* I just dc'd again and the message at login screen says "Unable to connect to the game server" If it can be replicated, please provide a screenshot or recording of the issue occurring: Gonna be tough to get this. but scenario should be described above, in details of the issue.
Are you located in North East NA? It's been happening to a few of us here. As far as I know, it isn't a problem with Maple Royals. It's a regional Verizon routing/peering issue. You can try a VPN, I believe that helps. Other than that, there's nothing we can do other than wait for it to fix itself or contact Verizon to let them know there is a problem with their routing to Royals' IP.
Has the situation improved, or you guys are using VPN for a better connection now? As there's a new patch recently, Staff are still monitoring if the new disconnection issue is persisting If solely based on this thread, Verizon might have a routing issue to the Royals server (unable to confirm unless Verizon made an official statement on it)
I haven't been active in the last week but after downloading the new game files from yesterday, I just afk'd on a character for about 20-30 mins and yes, I came back to a disconnected client which shows the words "Unable to connect to the game server". I haven't tried VPN either, have not yet used one.
I was fine for the past couple of days until about half an hour ago. But it seems the one that happened just now was not just North East NA.
West Coast US - Cox I Didn't d/c, but my toad seller was getting lag, and my Skele Seller d/c'd. Here is my lastest D/C data. If staff needs more exact time windows happy to share.
I used to think it was a regional thing, but I'm not so sure anymore. It just happened again, twice at around 3:30 servertime 18 Sept. I'm located in North East NA, and it also happened to my friend in East Asia. Everything would be fine, no lag at all until for about 10 seconds before the dc, mobs would walk in place and then dc to login screen. Oddly enough, right after the DC, we can log back on again right away.
Issue is still persisting on my end with me dc’ing 2~ times in a day. I’ve found that I dc when I’m sitting in fm or doing quests or farming etcs, like for miwok, mainly. Bossing-wise, almost no dcs.
Have you tried using another network (besides Verizon) such as mobile data? I am from Singapore, although some Singapore players informed me that they are lagging badly, I didn't feel any lag at all while training continuously for 4 hours, this still feels like a regional/ISP issue to me
I have not, although I have tried connecting a few clients to a VPN on a separate computer. Those clients did not DC whereas the clients on my home internet without VPN did DC. I feel like this post here is spot on, and very likely what we're dealing with.
