IGN: Nyanachi Problem: White scroll bug? I lost a slot even though I used a white scroll Details: I downloaded the new update just now and logged on to scroll my 110/7 kanzir with 15 white scrolls and when I was done the dagger was 120/4. I scrolled using legendary spirit and made sure that the white scroll box was checked. The logs even show that I used a white scroll for the 15 attempts. I passed 2 slots and failed 13 but the chat logs show that all I used a white scroll for all 13 fails. I was streaming this to 2 friends.
The last client chat message was likely a visual bug caused by adjusting the Legendary Spirit white scroll checkbox after the scrolling process has already begun. So for example, if you start the scrolling process with white scroll box unchecked, and then check the box while it is in the process, you will get this exact client message saying that a white scroll was used when it wasn't. This is because Legendary Spirit goes based off what is set the moment you drop the scroll in the UI, at that moment a packet is sent to the server with your decision, any changes after that have no effect. However, the client chat message is based off the result of the scroll alongside the choice put in the checkbox at the moment it goes to display the message. Here is a previous thread when this occured: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/issue-scrolling-auf-haven-circlet.246098/ That is the only thing that makes sense, there are no known bugs with the Legendary Spirit scrolling system itself. As for the logs we have on our side; they of course show that a white scroll was not used, as that is what actually happened to the equipment in game.
Will be closing this thread as Matt has investigated, and provided a response However, you may add on if you feel your concerns wasn't addressed fully
(i would reply to my thread but can't: ) interesting. based on the responses to my thread which you linked, i thought logs couldn't be used to clarify what happened (e.g. the order in which scrolls were used) in cases like this. would have been nice information to have at least it's clear that the player did not want to use white scrolls in such cases
