Back when I played as a warrior in maplesea, I died so frequently, I resorted to added ap stat to luck, hoping I would lose less exp that way. It also helped that luck boosts accuracy (abeit to a lesser extent than dex) and evasion. IIRC, I distributed ap point allocation between dex and luck, when it comes to ap points meant for the former. But now in my current playthrough, I don't die so often. In fact, my death count is single-digit. As the result, my stakes are not as high so I'm not doing luck build.
We have charms in royals as well, so you don't lose any EXP at all, assuming you have at least one in your inventory. There are several HP quests in royals as well. So there's really no need to put LUK into your base stats.
Back then, we'd struggle with getting mesos just for potions. That's mostly a non-issue here, and also the free NX safety charms like Shira said. Don't LUK your warrior.
Finally someone brought this up. Might be unpopular opinion but here goes. Dex gives 0.8 Accuracy and like 0.1 damage (exaggerated, idk the amount, just seems minute). Luk gives 0.5 Accuracy, 1 Avoid. I would actually take the 0.3 less accuracy for the 1 avoid, especially if you have no dex requirements for your equipment. EDIT: Here says its 0.8 avoid not 1. https://gameguide.typepad.com/my-bl...e-of-the-major-stats-found-in-maplestory.html You do you everyone. I have enough accuracy so building dex not very useful.
