Does it bother anybody else how it seems like these two job titles should be completely switched with each other? It's almost comical how perfectly they fit within each others job progression. Look at these two definitions of both a crusader and a paladin Notice how both reference fighting for aa good cause, often a holy one. I mean, crusader -> paladin just makes sense if you even think a little about it Now lets look at White Knight and Hero a "white knight" is often used to describe a warrior who fights for good (just like a hero). Both definitions define somebody who does courageous things for selfless reasons. White Knight -> Hero Is obviously the better choice. I'm not suggesting we change it, because at this point its been over 20 years and who honestly give af besides me probably lol. Anyways, thank you for humoring me and I hope now some of you will forever be annoyed by this too <3
Id say White Knight into Paladin fits cause White knight here is more of a literal knight (its also sometimes called Knight in game). You can see the progression from Page (knight servant) into a Knight, then Paladin which is like a legendary knight.
