Some illegal macro users in Royals use certain unchanging parts(not covered with monsters, characters) of the map as visual “save points.” When their character moves and that landmark appears on screen, the macro automatically performs the next action. Using this method, they automate Goby, Ulu, and Skele leeching, checking the monitor only once every 30 minutes to avoid GMs—all while earning mesos without touching the keyboard. This eventually leads to real-world trading. To prevent this behavior, I’d like to propose one solution: blacking out the map(skele, goby, and some bossing maps, and so on) background for about 10 seconds at random intervals. This would cause the macros to malfunction, and GMs would be able to more easily catch suspicious users—for example, those using skills at the bottom of the Skele map or showing other abnormal movements.
you are proposing a visually intrusive and immersion breaking bot-catching method that doesn't even catch every bot.
Hello, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand the concern you raised regarding certain forms of automation (botting) and how they may rely on static visual elements within specific maps. This is something the Staff team are aware of. However, the proposed solution of introducing random visual disruptions would have a noticeable impact on normal gameplay and affect legitimate players. As such, this is not something we would be implementing. While we cannot go into details regarding detection methods or internal measures, please be assured that macro-botting is monitored and handled through other means that do not interfere with regular gameplay. We appreciate you taking the time to provide your input.
Hello everyone, and if in the end they just do it, instead of putting random switches with a black background, they could do it on a single pixel of the screen and at different random points, since it's a single pixel, I don't think this will affect the visibility of legitimate players. be gooooddd 0/
