I feel the nostalgic experience is partially hindered because no one is playing LPQ. Making monster carnival seasonal or an event will make LPQ relevant again while not removing the monster carnival experience keeping the nostalgia alive.
First they take away Goby Leech to bring attention to CPQ then they take away CPQ to bring attention to LPQ, then it turns out nobody actually likes LPQ, and everyone just buys Jr/Wraith and Platoon/Master Chronos leech instead. Instead of taking something away, how about we encourage more people to do LPQ...perhaps we could double the EXP and tokens of teamwork ....wait
We need to psyop people into running LPQ Start requiring LPQ trust sessions to join guilds and maintain membership Start LPQ community events Start running LPQ while smegaing and tweeting to everyone that you're LPQing We need more Alishar bellay rubbing Start judging players who don't run LPQ Make a RoyalTip with the LPQ code (I forgor it, soz x <3) GMs should start appearing in maps while people are grinding and ask "why ain't you LPQing" Remind them this is a nustaljic server and what's more nostalgic than LPQ- RUN THAT SHET
people will LPQ if the rewards are worth the trouble something like.... you knoe... trading tokens of teamwork... for Ruel HP pots
give LPQ bonus stage boxes a chance to drop 100nx maybe even 250nx and people will be doing it more often
I don't think this will help at all, making CPQ a seasonal event would cut out a revenue stream for some players, and would ultimately affect newer players the most. As everyone else said, increasing the rewards of LPQ would be the only way to entice more people do it, and continue to do it after reaching their initial goal of "get those glasses." Most people suffer through LPQ for the glasses and after getting their 20 runs in, they don't go back to it unless it's on a non-mule character. This is still, basically, the best way to run it. If the true goal of this post is to increase LPQ popularity, I think @weePat 's idea is good, however, the same goal of ~250nx can be achieved by just channel swapping field bosses (like King Clang) in a fraction of the time spent, resulting in LPQ interest to only raise by a very small percent. I would instead, propose cutting the number of runs needed for the glasses to 10, this means glasses can be obtained in 3+ hours for a decent party (instead of the current 6-7+). It would open up late-game players to try to get a new set and replace poorly scrolled ones, causing more people to take chances with 10% scrolls, and increase repeated runs by people who already have them. But even this feels like it would be a little too "overpowered" and would need quite a bit of scrutiny from our already stretched-thin staff. There really is no perfect answer to the decline in LPQ interest, but cutting out another PQ (and going against the original manifestation of Global MS - BBB) is definitely not the way.
