Where are you having an issue(s): in-game client Date and Time when issue(s) occurred (GMT): started around 3 hours ago more or less Details of the issue: Clients getting black-screened and shutting off when attempting to change channel. Logging in to certain channels doesn't work. Selecting another channel to login to solves the issue. more people in the community face the same issue and its not local or related to my pc. What error code were you given(if any): no error message is given
Have created a poll in Royals Discord, along with asking the affected users their country + ISP before forwarding the issue to Staff chat As of now, I can only confirm the issue is affecting users from certain ISPs Reported regions (certain ISPs too) - Singapore (Singtel, Starhub) - US (Verizon, Cox) - Israel (HOT, Bezeq)
I am now experiencing this as well, beginning today around 2100 server time. I am from the US, but I am not associated with the ISPs you listed as affected in the US. My ISP is location specific, and I am happy to share it via PM.
https://royals.ms/forum/threads/tem...ing-mtu-to-reduce-black-screen-issues.254188/ This works as a temporary fix, however ( from my experience ) you have to do that command every time you turn on your computer. Works though.
Yes, the provided commands are specifically made to be removed on computer restart so that it's easy to revert if it causes issues elsewhere. There's some info in it on how to make it permanent, but that might cause network issues elsewhere, so I strongly recommend noting down your MTU before making it permanent so you can revert it if necessary. I remember a while back there was advice to temporarily edit your hosts file and restore it after ~ a week, and most people did not end up doing the manual restore step which gave them issues later on. This is less likely to cause issues but still best to have it automatically removed so we don't get a repeat of that.
