Hi, This has been happening for me since I installed this game a couple months ago. I'll dc randomly back to main menu, then crash completely when I try to log back in. Sometimes it happens in the first hour of playing, sometimes I can play for 3-4. Usually i'll DC within 3 hours though. This has been very frustrating recently because I'm finally 4th job and I'm dcing during Krex/Zak runs now. HT is practically useless to even consider. I'm running a pretty decent PC with a Nvidia 3080, Intel i7 12700k. I have heard that NVidia GPU's can be an issue (not sure if that's still the case, threads were old), so I brought a work computer home and tried that. Integrated Intel graphics. Still DC'd. Network maybe? I AM on Wifi, Fibre. Only thing I can think of. Any thoughts? Thanks,
Not an issue with you, it's an OVH (server host) problem. Try this workaround for now: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/tem...ing-mtu-to-reduce-black-screen-issues.254188/
My issue isn't necessarily in line with that thread, but I could try the fix. My game will DC me back to home screen randomly, during gameplay. No black screen and no issues CCing or entering CS.
Similar issues - but you may no longer need to do the workaround mentioned earlier due to an adjustment made yesterday! https://royals.ms/forum/threads/tem...duce-black-screen-issues.254188/#post-1599405
True! I did DC during Zak at around 10pm EST yesterday, so i'm not convinced this is my issue. But hopefully it is!
Update : I am still DC'ing quite often, and I tried the MCU change but that hasn't helped. I also logged into a mule on another PC that was connected via Ethernet, and when I dc'd both accounts DC'd. So obviously it's something network related? But my network is blazing fast and I don't have issues with any other game. Any thoughts are appreciated.
Just because your network might be 'blazing fast' doesn't mean there can't be packet loss, Just cause I send a lot of power to your PC, if I cut the power for 2 seconds your computer would go off. One thing I'd suggest seeing is if it's a Royals issue or a network issue is to leave a ping going while you play. You can do ping 57.128.187.242 -t In a command prompt while you play and see if when you get d/c'd if you also get 'connection timed out' If so you'd get your 'cut the internet for enough time to d/c you"
Hi Yes I did try the ping test awhile ago, there was a couple of time outs over the course of around 10min. I forget the exact numbers but i'll try again tonight. I'm definitely losing connection with the server for a short period time causing the DC, the question is why. I don't have this issue with any other game, so I assume it's something similar to the black screen issue where my isp and the game server aren't getting along?
Try doing a double ping test. In one terminal ping 1.1.1.1 -t and in another ping 57.128.187.242 -t When you D/C If both show connection timed out it's something with you connecting to the internet, other games/apps might just have more leniency of dropped connections and recover but it's a your network issue. If only Royals dropped, something about your connection is hitting something that's killing the connection and that's a rabbit hole of troubleshooting.
