Can we slightly re-tune some of the valentine boss/other related mechanics. Currently, there are a lot of pain points that make it quite difficult (in terms of annoyance) to kill these bosses. Since release the kill window has consistently been decreasing each spawn with the latest spawn being essentially finished within 10 minutes. Small disclaimer that I am classifying "finished" as all worlds either filled or progressed to the point where you would be wasting your time to hit the boss. There are a few small things that could be re-tuned a bit to allow for at least better quality of life. 1. Increase the HP slightly - These bosses are being killed extremely fast. Much faster than similar bosses like cake, pierre and snowman. You aren't really sure whether you'd actually get the kill credit unless you've entered the room at around 80%. 2. Increase spawn - allow for multiple instances so players don't feel the need to lock down a world and immediately smega a back row world expecting help. 3. Spawn consistency of amoria - In every town, your spawn location is somewhat close to where you were left off. In Amoria, for some reason you get randomly distributed across the map. You can probably imagine how annoying this is if you hop into an instance and you see 40% left so you do the mini jq to get out. Switch world to find you are on the other side of town, try enter again, full, so you hop again and you're on the other side of town again. All in all, a rather routine boss has become so
In my eyes it does not need a revamp. Yes they go down fast and channels are taken quickly vut that is only like the first 1-2 weeks of the event. Everyone wants the valentines ring for his new chars / mules since it is endgame gear. just hold on and soon it will be like snowman and all achannels not cleared XD
In theory, it should start slowing down from this weekend. By this weekend it'd be around 60 spawns since live so probably a lot will have their rings by then
I remember once in 2025, vBoss couldn’t be killed in ch10 at final week (after 2hr). In the beginning of event, all vBoss disappear within 12min or faster.
Its really not that bad. Be ready in ch 3-5 at the time it spawns and it's easy. I've never had an issue. If you're showing up late, that's kinda the point? U might miss it.
Of course I understand basic things like that, this isn't my first rodeo. The issue is that every other event boss like this can be comfortably cleared 6 times+ all throughout the event. This valentine, bosses are cleared within the first 10-15 mins. Things have progressively gotten worse because of some the mechanics mentioned which have also forced players to over disperse across the channels which also makes thing more inefficient and annoying for everyone. I keep track of kills per spawn since the start of the event and the numbers aren't going in the right direction.
I dont think the event needs a revamp or fix either. I only use one char so I have no problem, and even my friends can clear with 3 or up to 4 characters. I think you need 150 hits or so (not sure about exact number) and with fruit knife on a full channel you can land 20 to 25 hits on the vboss every 10% of its HP. So you are still OK at 70% HP, 60% HP becomes risky but still doable, because many people leave the boss earlier once they are sure they hit it enough so you still have a chance. Good Luck.
I think that peak hours are around 08:00-16:00 server times for ppl from Asia (and we do have a lot of players from there) and afterwards it becomes easy. I cleared with 3 chars in the latest vboss spawn pretty easily even 20 mins after they spawned.
The only revamp it needs is either all melee attack or all range attack, but it can't be that melee chars are chasing the boss while someone trolls around with it and ranged people dgaf, can even hit from a cloud. It is just annoying.
I think it's good the way it is now, no need to change. It creates that urgency to pause everything to fight the boss. You snooze, you lose. The only hiccup is that logging out is faster than clicking that exit npc every damn time
Yeh, th optional thing to do is to stop with around 2% to go, log in to new char and see which world is likely to have one at 60-70% and log out as the boss dies
If you have 4 chars, try spacing out: Char 1: Ch 1 to 6 Char 2: Ch 7 to 11 Char 3: Ch 12 to 16 Char 4: Ch 17 to 20 Kinda measure your time, time ccing is time lost. Credits to my friends xNabi and Cheesh, both gave me this advice (although I only have one character lol)
