Hi there. You were originally banned in 2020 for benefitting from hacking. Hacking and benefitting from hacking is a permanent ban that applies to you as a person, meaning that you cannot play on this server anymore.
I was surprised to find that my current account has been banned. The only reason I can think of is an issue from about six years ago, when an account associated with me was banned for hacking. However, I have not played on that account for many years. When I tried to log in again recently, I discovered that my current account was banned as well. I want to make it clear that I have not used any hacks or violated the rules on this account. In fact, I am not even sure that the incident from six years ago was actually caused by me. I understand the importance of keeping the game fair, but banning my current account without any recent violation feels unfair. I respectfully ask that you please review the situation again and reconsider the ban on my current account.
Is this appeal not submitted by you? https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ban-for-no-reason-balshaw-and-shomron.154755/
It might have been submitted by me, but honestly I’m not completely sure since it was a long time ago and I don’t really remember. Also, I don’t know anyone named Shomron, so I’m not sure why that name appears there. It might have been someone from my in-game buddies at the time. In any case, I haven’t done anything recently that would justify banning my current account. I simply tried, in good faith, to recover an old account that I had lost access to over the years.
It is difficult for us to review an appeal when you are unsure whether the previous appeal was even submitted by you. If that is the case, how would we be able to confirm that you are the account owner? Please note that on MapleRoyals, bans are applied to the player, not just to a specific account. As such, abandoning an account that was banned and continuing to play on a new account is not permitted. If a player attempts to bypass a ban by creating or using additional accounts, the new accounts will also be subject to bans. Unless you are able to provide more details for us to properly review the incident, the current ban will remain in place.
I understand what you mean regarding bans applying to the player and not just the account. To clarify, the reason I wasn’t sure about the previous appeal is simply because it happened around six years ago and I honestly don’t remember the exact details anymore. The account itself was mine, but it has been a very long time. When I recently tried to log into the old account, I genuinely didn’t know it had been banned for hacking. If I had known that beforehand, I wouldn’t have tried to access or recover it. I also want to say that using hacks in games is a red line for me. I’ve never been someone who uses hacks. From what I saw in the previous appeal, there doesn’t seem to be clear proof that I was the one using hacks at the time, and it could possibly have been someone who was around me in-game then (for example the player named “Shomron” that appears there). I wasn’t trying to evade a ban or bypass the rules. I simply tried to log into an old account I used years ago. I recently came back because I wanted to play again with my brother. If there’s any way to review the case or give me a second chance, I would really appreciate it. I’m happy to provide any details needed to verify the account.
Hello. After reviewing your past appeal, the evidence collected at the time, and your new appeal, your bans will remain. You were permanently banned back in 2020 for benefitting from a hacker (Shomron) in CPQ. You referred to Shomron as your “friend” in your previous appeal, so you knew who they were (at least at the time). As this ban was not issued incorrectly, we won’t be able to remove the ban. As Dave stated previously, the ban applies to you as a person, so you will need to find a new server to play on.
