After finally getting a pirate hat, I trade for some special scrolls for pirate hat from the NPC 'Cody Wizet Wizard' using the token for PQ. But ALL 7 scrolls for pirate hat failed! I was so annoyed and threw away the hat. I did another 50 rounds of the PQ and got another pirate hat, but then consecutive 2 fails from scrolls for pirate hat!! The probability is ridiculously low for this consecutive 9 fails on hat. So I just use some common 60% scrolls for hat then. Does this happen to someone too??
If 9 scrolls were used with 60% scrolls, and “none worked” means all 9 failed, then the odds are: 0.4^9 Because each scroll has a 40% chance to fail. 0.4^9 = 0.000262144 So the probability is: 0.0262144% about 1 in 3,815 So it is rare, but absolutely possible. Have you considered buying the opposite of a lottery ticket?
So I guess the success of scrolls on your gear is not a true random event. The game could have some scheme like design back there.
Computers can't produce true random events on general. But the random in this game is random (as best as a computer can do)
