Hi there. I recently started playing MapleRoyals a few days ago creating my character as a PERMA beginner. I saw someone using a thread as a way to document their progress so I'd like to do the same here! This is not a guide whatsoever so please do not be misguided by my choice of gameplay but I do welcome any tips an advice from any other fellow perma beginners. My number 1 rule is to not leech AT ALL, however, for situations like Zakum bosses whereby its impossible to clear as a beginner, assistance is fine. My goal is to level up through quests and farming mobs. PQs only if I'm absolutely bored. My goals for this challenge are as of follows: 1. Achieve Quest Specialist 2. Hit level 120 3. Achieve Quest Virtuoso 4. Hit 2000hp ✓ [Achieved on 13/07/2026] 5. Get a decent scrolled maroon mop ✓ [Achieved on 22/07/2026] Any other goals or achievements will be added as I go along and clear these main goals I guess. Side goals after main goal: 1. Hit 3000hp 2. Get perfectly scrolled maroon mop 255WA, 21 str As of 19/04/2026: Level: 47 Quests Completed: 213 Max HP (with gear): 1007 I got a maroon mop and frozen tuna from somebody dropping a bunch of items in Kerning City so my weapon attack damage has scaled tremendously (got it around level 20-25). @ENENx gaveaway some red whips as well so I can actually travel across maps way faster now! As of 03/05/2026: Level: 55 Quest Completed: 300 Max HP (without gear): 1077 Max STR (without gear) : 283 Max DEX (with gear) : 35 Max INT (with gear) : 13 I started HP washing with APRs as best as I could but not forcing myself to do it for every AP point I earn. I only wash when I have the spare MP to do it. I've been trying to get more INT gear to earn more MPs for each level up but so far, I've only been able to get a max of 13 INT. My issue I'm currently facing is having a lack of accuracy due to the fact that my character is PURE STR, so it's been getting progressively harder to hit higher level mobs. I fortunately got some maple swords from @Zetsubo so I haven't hit a hard wall yet. I've cleared almost all quests in Victoria Island, Ludibrium, Omega Sector and Korean Folk Town (at my current level). The uncleared ones are due to the fact that I'm "under leveled" (not strong enough) or they're just extremely tedious (e.g. 300-500 Mateon Tentacles quest). I'm going to focus more on getting DEX items from FM now. As of 13/07/2026: Level: 71 Quest Completed: 438 Max HP (without gear): 2101 Max STR (without gear) : 363 Max DEX (with gear) : 67 Max INT (with gear) : 42 Took a month-long break from playing due to burnout and wanting to grind to Diamond on League of Legends. But now that that's done, I went back to the game to grind again. I sold a bunch of APRs after voting daily and with that money I bought a bunch of DEX and INT gear. From there I could now HP wash more often with the INT gear and hit higher level mobs with the DEX gear (cause of better accuracy). I did 20 LPQ for the broken glasses which was absolutely boring, I am not a PQ enjoyer. Hitting level 70 was quite satisfying though. Someone in the guild I'm in said good luck for 3rd job but I have no job LOL. Anyways I managed to hit 2000hp pretty quick due to completing the Olaf adventurer quest which gave me +225 maxHP and then Mar the Fairy's quests which gave me +500maxHP. Tough grind as a perma beginner though ngl, ended up buying the nependeath honey on FM cause farming that would've taken AGES. Anyways, 1 main goal down! As of 22/07/2026: Level: 75 Quest Completed: 554 Max HP (without gear): 2190 Max STR (without gear) : 383 Max DEX (with gear) : 77 Max INT (with gear) : 60 Cleared a bunch of low leveled quests that I didnt do because it was on another world, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Shanghai thus the massive jump from 400 quests completion to 500 in just a week. Saw this maroon mop on FM by pure chance that was 225 RAW so i decided to use the 100% pole arm ATT scrolls on it and now I have a decently scrolled maroon mop! Next goal would be to get a perfect one with 255 WA and 21 STR (since WA is capped at 255, it cant go any higher i just need a mop with minimum 220 WA and then scrolled with 10% polearm ATT scrolls). Also bought more DEX and INT gear to increase my accuracy and MP gains for hp washing! Oh and i also decided to use 1 day worth of NX to stylize my character hehe
I've mainly done quests, mob farming for scrolls and a little bit of PQs whenever I'm bored. Even when I did PQs, I only do it 2-3 times before moving on to questing again. So far, I've done 250+ quests, so it's a pretty fun journey!
