Whenever a guild member levels up, everyone else online in the guild gets a notification. I was wondering if this could be added to party chat as well? This would be especially helpful in PQs like CPQ (#newsourcehype).

Could also add it for BL for those extra congrats that make you feel like you're worth it <3 but that could be overkill with all those ppl2passers

I don't like the idea of the buddy list notices. I personally find it pretty nostalgic to see players themselves shout out "Level up! 172!" if they are proud of their achievement rather than the system doing it automatically. And I'm sure some people have had times where they are just casually grinding and levelling and don't want to 'force' people to say grats every time they level, and then be forced to say 'thanks' in return.

I guess party seems fine too, but you'll be on the same map as them usually anyway, and be able to hear them or see them level up.

How about level up notifications in alliances? I'm in a guild right now that's split between two guilds because we're at 100 members. It'd be great if I could see my "alliance" members level up since we're pretty much all in the same guild.

With 250 buddy slots, you'll just get spammed by buddy list level-ups...

Party is possible, but not needed IMO. As @Matt said, you'll see them level most likely.

Alliances would be something I am willing to support, but not buddy or party chats for the reasons given by Matt.

I foresee the same issues with Alliance notices as buddy notices. The amount of spam in a 5 guild alliance would be pretty ridiculous.

What about having a toggle to turn it off?

It would get kind of ridiculous to have so many toggles. We already have a toggle for SMEGAs. I'm opposed to having tons of toggles.
