I have saw the other threads asking about this, and the solution was put the launcher file in the MapleRoyals folder, but when i downloaded the maplestory setup and the windows client, there was no folder for them, they were put into my "downloads" folder. Can anyone tell me why and how do i fix this?
when you installed it, did it ask you to choose the place where you want to install it? (sorry I don't remember)
Did you run the setup? Cause if you did there is a folder. You don't need the client if you downloaded the setup and you can't use the client in your download folder. The default location of the client should be 'C:\Program Files (x86)\MapleRoyals\' (for 64bit) or 'C:\Program Files\MapleRoyals\' (for 32bit). http://royals.ms/forum/threads/troubleshooting-guide.20556/
i am redownloading the maplestory setup right now, and i overlapped the maplestory setup that i had already dowloaded, so...i can't tell you the details of the error, but i can confirm that it is an error message. so i need to wait until i finish downloading it to give you the details. Also my internet is pretty slow...so we might have to wait a while
ah, done with the download. ok after i downloaded the maplestory setup, the file went into "downloads" again. and nothing new in the "programs" folder. If i try to open maplestory setup in the downloads folder, it pops up this: Install Shield Wizard, and it says Error reading setup initialization file
when you download the file, it is supposed to go into the downloads folder. After you install it, it will appear in the programs folder. What operating system are you using? Can you try turning off your antivirus and trying it again?
