I'll keep this short and simple. I just tried to see what a Bowmaster's DPS is with Hurricane and how much the damage increases with SE. Can someone here who knows their way around BMs confirm these numbers? @jmmainvi @Muren @AdamBrone Per arrow damage: 100% + 200% * 0.4 = 180% damage Hurricane DPS: 180% / 120 ms * 1000 ms = 1,500% damage / second With Sharp Eyes Per arrow damage: 100% + 340% * 0.55 = 287% damage Hurricane DPS: 287% / 120 ms * 1000 ms = 2,391.667% damage / second This gives Bowmasters with maxed Sharp Eyes a damage increase of... 2,391.667 / 1,500 = 1,5944 => +59,44% damage per second I recall @jmmainvi saying it was below 50%, so I'm a bit confused now. Did I fuck up?
I think I see where you numbers are coming from..... Without SE you're getting 100% per non crit arrow and 200% per crit arrow. They're happening in a 60/40 partition at 500 arrows per minute, so it looks like: (100 * 0.6) + (200 * 0.4) = 140% per arrow (average) 140% * 500 arrows = 70,000 % per minute or 1,166% per second. With SE You deal 100% per non crit arrow and 340% per crit arrow at 45 and 55% rates respectively. So you have: (100*.45) + (340*.55) = 232% per arrow average 232% * 500 arrows = 116,000% per minute or 1,933% per second. I've always maintained that SE was about a 65% dmg boost for BMs in actual practice, (and a touch over 70% for NLs because of how shadow partner works) so I don't know where you're remembering 50% from. Looks like the only thing you did wrong was ignore the fact that when you crit, you don't also get a regular arrows, and then needlessly complicate things with attack speed numbers. Offtopic: SE is only a 5-10% boost for non-crit classes, depending on how many attacks they naturally do per minute. So if you dont have at least one Night Lord in your party, and the BM themself isn't already strong, SI is a bigger dpm boost for everyone.
