Look what my Love and my kiddos found tonight while looking for nightcrawlers! I am so glad it is now dead. That really could have killed one of the kids if they got bit! It is scary to think that things like this live out there...lol Have any of you had any close encounters with poisonous creatures?? *shudders*
black widows arnt that bad... most hospitals in regions where there are black widows have antivenom in stock all the time since people get bitten by them a lot. other venomous spiders, who are less common, thats a problem
I'm in Aus so of course wild angry drunk kangaroos always come to my backyard and try get in my house. Actually I've never been near any deadly/poisonous things before
I live in small town, USA...lol They don't have that kind of stuff stocked readily at our hospitals. The next biggest hospital is 2 1/2 hour drive away from here. We would probably have to be transferred there, or have the medicine sent to our hospital in the event of a bite. Regardless if you think it isn't that bad, it scares me to think this spider was right were my kids play all the time...lol My three-year-old would probably die or get extremely ill from a black widow bite. I doubt that I would even know what was going on until it was too late. I am a paranoid mother I suppose. So a dead black widow make me VERY happy....lololol =)
Jacek, I don't mind spiders (that won't hurt my kiddos) really...but THAT...That is simply terrifying...LOL
grab a dustbin, swoop it up, and drop it from 1,5 meters high. It would probably be dead. The bigger they get, the easier they break (exoskeleton)
