Go snipe newties, there are a lot of youtube videos that demonstrate it if you don't know what that is btw

Pretty much boils down to standing behind the rope ladder at all times and break loose. Sharp Eyes, Holy Symbol and Speed Infusion makes this training go by much faster.

The problem is, I need more than 20 burst shots to kill one. And after I killed one, it takes like 3-6 seconds for another one to spawn.

Look at it this way, you just spent 20 solid seconds of dishing out maximum DPS on a single target. That's amazing. Spending more time on a monster is actually good if the HP/XP ratio is decent. People have to fight Krexel/Zakum/Horntail or hack to even come close to that.

    I'm lvl 100 now. Shall I stay till 120?

I suppose you could. Triple Shot might kill them a bit too fast to make training here super quick, but you should be able to make some decent gains.

What would be alternatives if I may ask?

Dreamy Ghosts if you have Flamethrower and Ice Splitter at a decent level.

Quick question/s. I was thinking about training on Gobies in my 80's and I was wondering what incentive there is to level Ice Splitter over Flamethrower first if I already have maxed Blank Shot? Do I need it for something other than the freeze?

Edit: Nevermind. Going for the standard build anyway. :3

Any advice from seasoned corsairs for me about to face a HT for the first time as a sair? :) Thanks!

May I know approximately how many washes does it take to get to 7.8k hp? I understand that the new Ht requires that much hp to survive

First, I thought ht only required like 5.9k or something?? o_o

But in the case that you want 7.8k by level 155, it will require int gear or base int. Not mentioned in the above thread is that with no base int or int gear, you will have ~3740MP by level 155, which is enough spare MP to provide an extra 950HP. This means with no int gear, you will have ~5900HP with no washes remaining at lv155.

Would anyone happen to have any calculations to reach 11.5k HP by Lvl.200?

much thanks for the link. currently it is at 5+k. but the bosses are getting buffed so we'll be needing more when the new sauce is released. (thats if i didnt read the source update thread wrongly.)

So I'm level 32 now, still using a Fish Spear with SSK, I'm STR-less and I feel like I'm slower at grinding with a lvl10 gun than the spear and SSK. Am I wrong? What's the fastest way to 35...I'm following your build

You'd probably be better off using a Fish Spear with SSK. Double Shot is a very weak skill in general and even the small amount of mob damage on SSK should prove to be better than Double Shot.

    Hello, I'm back!

I am now lv. 47, anyone got a good training guide specific to slingers thru 120?

From 47 to 70, you'll probably have to sit through Ghost Ship 2 for the best XP rates. Try out Death Teddies at level 64 when you get your Cannon Shooter, but if you aren't too funded, you'll probably want to stick to Ghost Ship 2.

At level 70-85/90, snipe Jr. Newties. I'm not sure if Flamethrower and Ice Splitter works, but max out Triple Shot first and just AFK train at Jr. Newties. Should go quick.

    This is what I did:
    45-51: LPQ, STDs
    51-72: LMPQ, GS2, GS5
    72-75: GS5, Voodoos
    75-90: WS party, Jr. Newties
    90-100: Jr. Newties, Headless Horseman
100-120: duo Himes with Priest, Headless Horseman

    I hope this helps!
