Community Vote on a new GM Just for rewarps.

Story: Lately because the server is getting populated too fast, more than the server can handle its been really laggy lately.
Lag causes many problems in Maplestory, such as Disconnection, unable to kill monsters, and not being able to just enjoy maple royals.
I have been seeing a lot of people complaining about needing a re warp to a boss place.
I don't know what the other gms are up to but, if we were to have a special GM just for rewarping, the community would be happier than ever,

Quite seriously, the job description would go like this:

"Must be prepared to work for free 24/7"

 

I was thinking of two people For Night and Day shift. That way its not too much burden on one person.

 

I'm an arch mage and i don't care.

 

Maybe add a command, that let party members vote for the disconnected party member to be rewarped, if disconnected?

 

Can't see anyone voting NO, so that would only be a free warp for anyone.

 

I just wanted to make it how much I am willing to do such a wonderful job.

It honestly makes me happy to warp the same people ten times over to the same boss because they're too stubborn to postpone for another time. Not only is it very simple; I only have to track the party down, wait for all of the people to log back in, check them all that they were on the same boss run with a bit of simple database digging and then type out the command to warp each member individually, but I actually find the responses and thanks that I sometimes don't even get from said party members more satisfying than anything else I could be doing that might be a better use of twelve hours a day, seven days a week. Can you imagine the monetary recompense I would make from such a position? Both fun and lucrative; I'd be the first to sign up.

I am sorry, but from a staff perspective, this idea is absolutely ridiculous. If you think that our staff is not as active as it should be, or that we have time zones we need to better fill, please make that known. I apologize if I offend you with the above obvious sarcasm (as well as an apology to the people who actually ARE nice in return for the assistance we as staff provide) but this really did need to be said.

 

No offense taken, Its just Lately I've been seeing a lot of rewarps needed. and I feel like no one got the help.
I needed a rewarp today, the party stayed together for about 30minutes waiting at fm. and no response.
I know its a big burden for a gm to rewarp the party because the party is most likely not all online at the same time.
BUT. If we were to have a special GM has No other commands but rewarp. I mean I feel like it can help the community in a big way, seeing how the community is being populated faster than the server can handle. Plus the GMs would be busy doing something else so just giving a suggestion out there.
If I did offend any of the staff members it was not intended.

 

So how much would this job pay? This seems like a full time job, to sit at your computer and warp people all day. This is very unrealistic

 

I don't know much about paying, But I've seen many people who are willing to do this job such as Nikki .

 

I think the real question is: would you be willing to sit at a computer for 12 hours a day, every day of the week to rewarp players?

 

What I mean is that it's a lot to put on a volunteer, there is no pay. Having that kind of responsibility is like a full time job

 

okay, guys your making this sound like If everyone needs a rewarp every hr, every minute, every second.

 

Not exactly a great job either. Might be almost as bad as customer service reps.

That's the thing you want someone to be 100% available for rewarps. Which would be every hr, every minute, every second. That in addition to the number of people attempting to abuse rewarps. And the people complaining that it is still too slow.

 

So what hours do people need warps?

I'm not familiar with any set lag schedule.

 

I Don't see how is it possible to have someone online 24 hours a day or even 16 or more hours per day just to rewarp people.

A better solution could be an NPC that does that automatically somehow but that sounds really complicated and wierd.

 

Okay lets put it this way,
Do the GameMasters ban hackers, every hr, every minute, every second?
I didn't know hackers come at a certain schedule.
Do the GameMasters help the community every hr every minute, every second? No.
So whats your point?

 

Rewarps are not gonna be needed anyway when the new source (hehe) is out, THATS WHAT I HEARD

 

No they don't. The hackers are banned in a combination of systems that are in place and the Support Forums. As it just so happens, the Support Forums is available for Rewarps as well!!!!!

 

You just pointed out there isn't 24/7 coverage, so why would warps be a priority?
