    Hi all!

Sorry for not letting you all know about this new player command sooner (it has been around for a couple of weeks now) - as you know, we have a lot to deal with and occasionally non-urgent things don't get dealt with as soon as they should! Anyway, without further delay, let me introduce the new command, what it does and what it might be used for.

    ~servertime

Important note: this command will not work during a lag spike or if the server is frozen!

    Possible uses for the command:
    • Just got a White Scroll or other valuable item from Gachapon? Do ~servertime then take a screenshot showing that you got the item from Gachapon (and a screenshot of the item, if it has stats). This way, you'll have a record of when you got it in case it should be lost to a server freeze/crash/rollback or other bug.
    • Scrolled a perfect or really good item that you'd hate to lose if the server messes up? Do ~servertime and take a screenshot of the item.
    • Finally levelled up after hours of grinding and don't want to lose all that effort to server problems? Do ~servertime and take a screenshot. (Better still, do this and then CC to save your progress.)
    • Spotted someone botting and want to report them, but no GM seems to be available ingame? Talk to the character several times over a period of a few minutes and do ~servertime a few times while you're talking to them to show their lack of response. A video capture works better, but if you don't have video capture software or are too laggy to have it running, this is an alternative way to show the passing of time.
    • Got a KS-er who refuses to stop killing your mobs? Politely ask them to leave (more than once, if necessary), use ~mapowner to show it's your map and ~servertime more than once to give an idea of how long they were ks-ing you for. (Sometimes if you don't get a reply from that person, it's hard to prove that they didn't just leave within 30 seconds of arriving there.)
    • Just realised that your Heartstoppers (or other items) are stacking in greater amounts than they should? Do ~servertime and take a screenshot of how many Heartstoppers (or other items) you have in case Inventory Sort or a server check cause you to lose the overstacked items.
    • Want to keep a screenshot record of anything just in case the server decides to behave badly? ~servertime is your friend!

Obviously there are other possible uses for ~servertime too, like finding out what time it is in the UK, for example, and probably many things I haven't even thought of. Just remember that if it's too laggy to do ~bosshp or chat ingame to your friends, it will be too laggy to do ~servertime too.

I have been using this nifty little command since it was introduced a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say it is pretty useful. Good work, staff.
    :o !!

I always wondered what it was for. Thanks for elaborating on its usage. Now, I am going to abuse it... ahem... use it often. I would never abuse it.
