This is so unfair. It turns out that after the lag happened overnight, pictured as shown'm dead, the reason was that after the lagg all my friends got dc except me who did not give me dc but appeared dead. Then my friend lLux just manages to tell me pick a time server SS and those who were in the RUN, shortly after my friend lLux published in the forum to receive the warp, Cyndy denied me the opportunity to return to the Horntail I'm blaming the die for the lag? This is so unfair .. Mike gave warp all times even necessary when everyone called him by different problems the if did his job, this is something that can not happen, I am outraged and yet very annoying because in my 3:25 a.m. and country is all warp's wait for this? It is unfair. Excuse me for my bad english. THANKS MIKE FOR ALL WARP's :') <3 IGN: Golduck SS:
It seems unfair and is something that I have a right to justify, since the error is Royal's not my fault and GM in this case acted evil can not try to minimize this.
You really should watch your language. This is not an offence, there is no abuse either. You have a complaint, nothing else. EDIT: Finally moved to the correct place.
He brings up a good point: what should happen in the instance of server lag induced death in a boss, given you don't D/C?
Agreed. You might aswell logout & blame the lagspike that you dced. Unless if a gm is able to see the differences between a server lag dc & a server lag followed up by a self dc. (logout)
I always thought the policy was to rewarp players if there was server-wide lag, regardless of whether the player has died or not. I don't remember exactly when, but I believe lag has in the past caused me to lag, die, and then dc, and I got a rewarp. Edit: I should clarify, I didn't notice that I had died until after I relogged and saw that my EXP bar had gone down, since I died while my screen was frozen.
IMO, if you died as a direct result of the lag then you should be able to get a warp. As a hero myself, I can't see any reason for him to have died there other than lag due to the extreme durability of the class. It's also not an impossibility that he was on the right side when everyone disconnected, causing him to become the right arm target and get seduced(Though that might call for screenshot evidence). As I mentioned in my previous sentence, server lag can cause a sort of domino effect, even if you survived the lag. Another example: If he were a bishop, I don't really see any possible way for him to have survived this even if there was no further lag, due to everyone who helped to clear the Dark Wyverns disconnecting. Would that also not warrant a warp? In defense of Cyndy, GMs aren't obligated to warp anyone(Correct me if I'm wrong) as this wasn't something that ever happened in GMS. We're fortunate enough to have this be a common occurrence in MapleRoyals. I feel that while discussing what may warrant a warp isn't a bad topic, targeting Cyndy herself is wrong, especially since the server notice states that we've been experiencing extreme instability and that you shouldn't start any long-term boss runs. Your squad took that risk knowing full well that you'd probably end up disconnecting as well as the repercussions of that possibility
From a GM perspective, it is difficult to tell when someone has died because of lag or because of other reasons. Yes there are some situations where it is a bit more obvious, such as you being the only remaining survivor of an HT after a lagspike and dying because of both arms targetting seduce at you, but at the end of the day, it's still difficult. A lot of people attempt to receive warps they don't deserve. I wanted to address two things with this post: one, I do my short investigation whenever anyone asks for a rewarp to any boss before proceeding, and I do turn down rewarp requests if I believe them illegitimate, and two, I trust that my peers do the same. If Cyndy determined that you did not qualify for a rewarp, then I stand by her decision as she would have the most valid opinion, being the responding GM. The point of deaths due to lag and their qualification for rewarps could be brought up in our staff discussions, however I think we are all already on the same page. Thank you for your feedback.
