Attention! Please do not hunt Griffey or Manon in Leafre UNLESS you need to complete a quest

This is an ongoing issue. Many new 4th jobs cannot get their skills for weeks / months because Manon and Griffey is dead in every channel. I believe it has a 6 hour respawn rate.

Please, I ask the community to not kill these bosses unless you require it for quest completion.

In addition, I ask; What can we do to remedy this situation? I have been berserk-less for a while now and it's getting pretty frustrating.

 

Many people hunt Manon for Dragon Elixirs for HTPQ. The way I look at it is, if you have the patience to get to level 120 on your Paladin or Bishop, you can camp a map and do nothing for several hours.

 

It isn't anywhere near that hard. It just takes a bit of patience if you happen to not find the boss.

If it's a multiple of 6 go check Manon/Griffey.
If not wait till it is.
Repeat.
(This is usually more accurate within the first 12-18 hours after a restart.)

Just learning spawn times and rates makes finding a boss infinitely more easy.

 

Checking Jrrogs every 2 hours for 18hrs a day for the past 1 week. A LITTLE patience is an Extreme understatement. doesn't help that black sacks are 50 m and the only sack available in fm didn't drop the key.

 

Jr Rogs don't even respawn, you kill them after a servercheck and then they're gone until the next.

Doing this my Hero has gotten 6 cries in 5 days without having to camp or play 24/7. It's like you said not hard at all to get a Manon if you understand when they roughly spawn.

Do Manons and Griffeys even exist on this server? I've heard that they're mythical creatures who only show themselves to those who are worthy.

 

Or you can find someone who is actively waiting to hunt Manon/Griffey and party with them. There's plenty of Smegas to go around, someone's gotta be timing those guys.

I can understand where Leo comes from; it took me a week to get the Berserk quest done. I had to wait until there were server checks to kill Griffy. Sure, you can camp out for 6 hours, but I have a job and other commitments. Just because you guys are able to camp out for that many hours it does not mean everyone else can as well. Please take that into account next time you guys respond to an issue like this. And I did check the server up-time constantly, but because my hours at work fluctuate each week, it was hard to be on during the right times. I realize that there are so many players on that all you can do is unfortunately just be patient and hope that you're on at the right moment. It sucks, I know. That's all I can say to you. =/

 

well now that there's a server check, the best thing is to rush to manon / griffey after it.

 

It's a bit unfair to assume that we all have nothing to do and have no other commitments... Your response is a lot of I I I I followed by a lot of you guys you guys you guys.. Some people are lucky when it comes to finding Manons or logging in at the right time and the right place.. and others are less lucky. But you can not assume that just because some of us manage to kill Manon or Griffey more often than you do, that we have the time to camp for 6 hours or play at any time of the day. Until you process that you can't really make a constructive suggestion here as it would just be you vs the world. :\

 

I work and go to school full time and have other commitments and manage to find manons when I need to. And I've only been able to get on after a server check once since I started kinda playing again; I only get on about twice a week.

 

First off, I apologize at the way my comment was directed, but there were a couple of people who posted comments above suggesting about camping out which struck the wrong cord with me. I was trying to sympathize with the OP since I had a somewhat similar experience when trying to do the Berserk skill quest line. And it's clearly not just us who have had issues as other people have made similar threads expressing their frustration. But whatever, I eventually got the stupid quest done and hopefully everything works out okay for the OP.

 

Doesn't work unless the person killing is doing the quest for the same thing for the first time. The item ID on 1st time htpq quest is different from the 2nd time+ you won't be able to loot the manon cry if someone else kills for you and likewise they cannot loot a cry from you.

 

me and kobato killed more than half the channels all at once trying to get me a cry cuz we didnt look at the guide <3
