Hello, I saw other threads about this, but couldn't find a proper answer. Whenever I open MapleRoyals client, a box with that message as stated in the title of this thread pops up. I have Windows 7. I tried to run the program in compatibility mode for all the Windows OS, same message, always. When I click Setup in MapleRoyals folder, I can see the test message clearly. I don't exactly understand how this DirectX works, I downloaded Direct X 11, but I have no clue how to make it work, I am kind of a rookie in IT. I will kindly appreciate it if you can help me in any way. If you need some further information about my computer, don't hesitate to ask me. I kindly ask you to help me .
Try changing compatibility. Right click the client > properties > compatibility tab > choose run in compatibility for > select windows 98/Windows ME The client is the mapleroyals.exe Try changing your screen resolution. What type of screen is he using to play? a TV, monitor? Is it connected through HDMI, VGA etc..?
Tried Windows 98/Windows ME, same message popped up. Tried changing screen resolution, same message popped up. I am using laptop, how can I check what it is connected through?
Since it's a laptop the screen connected thing doesn't apply. Try removing/lowering hardware acceleration.
If you can check so you have directX updated http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...d/8597a7ab-788e-4113-95d3-ee3639903fa5?auth=1 Also try to update your drivers http://www.wikihow.com/Find-and-Update-Drivers Update your graphic card drivers. Try do a virus search on your computer, (note that the mapleroyals.exe might show up)
HP 64-bit OS, Windows 7 Professional, Windows still updating, will try after it's done and share my experience. Edit: Oh and I have Direct X 11 Edit 2: Windows update didn't fix this. Also I think I updated all the drivers too, but still same message , let's not give up
I'm getting this too after having formatted my computer and installing windows 10. Did you by chance manually install MapleRoyals, or did you use the Setup Installer? Edit: Running in Windows XP Service Pack 2 compatibility mode made it work for me.
I used setup installer for it, gongrats for making it work for you. I tried all the windows modes, sadly none of them worked for me. Maybe I should uninstall MapleRoyals and download it again manually.
I used to have windows 8 - until I got tired of it and installed windows 7, and I had this problem. My only solution as far as I can remember was to just choose one of the compatibility modes, then try starting mapleroyals like... 5-10 times and eventually it worked(It mostly worked on windows vista service pack 2 and windows xp service pack 3). Another way was to switch between the modes until it suddenly worked after some attempts.
My computer broke down, I took it to my cousin, he fixed it with couple days and said I had some kind of major virus in my computer. Now when it's fixed I have no such problem anymore. Everything runs perfectly. Thank you everyone who put time into this and tried to find a solution with me.
