As of now, guilds are the most vital thing (in my biased opinion) for a player to enjoy the game. Guilds are our stepping stones into the game. Most of them help with training spots, skill builds and other certainly useful tips and tricks.
Right now, guilds are nothing more than a chat in the game.

What i suggest is enabling a guild to have their own "physical" appearance in the game, other than the name written beneath the player. A map specific to their guild ID, a Headquarters or Clubhouse, if you might. The development behind it isn't much, but the fruits from it enables the guild communities to grow tighter. This could of course be a price to unlock, which the guild leaders would have to make a decision wether or not feel if its worth. The access to this hangout, could be a NPC within FM (as well as many other possible routes) , so that it wouldn't interrupt the gameplay any more than a trip to FM would.

In previous servers there haven't been a rule against account sharing either, and so most of the guilds i've been in through the years, have had an account-id and password given to their trusted members (of course at the guilds own risk), to function as a guild bank, for ores, early level equips and such. What i'm suggesting here is a Guild vault which would function the same way as a storage banker, simply within the guild-headquarters. (read previous suggestion) This vault could/could not have a pin/password set by the guild leader, to make sure that new members don't abuse it, and the distribution of the rights to enter this vault, would be the guild leaders responsibility.

None of these suggestions are hard to implement (Yes, i speak from experience). And both would benefit the guild community, as much as the new players entering into this jungle of a a server, simply looking for safe-haven, guidance and help within one of the many fine guilds we have here.

    TL; DR
    Guild headquarter and a guild-storage. Y/N

To be clear, this suggestion is not set in stone, and would be totally open for interpretation on what would be a good idea, in both ways of function and in practice.
Any thoughts on any of this?

As long is it doesn't make the game easier, then I support this. (on other servers you can use guild HQs as a form of quick travelling which imo is game breaking)

I would love to have a formal Guild HQ sorta thing that we could "customize" or show rewards and stuff. As long as it doesn't change the "nostalgic" feeling or give others an advantage I'm all for it. It should be more of a pride thing I think lol to "show off" and of course bond with our fam :3

Also would be cool to implement other guild "competitions" besides GPQ XD
    But I like the idea!

As i suggested earlier, this would be either a command, or a npc which are placed/can only be used within Free Market, and i'm sure there won't be any warpers, or any other unsuited features within it.

I support this. Played a few different private servers that had a feature similar to this and I thought it was pretty neat.

My only concern is that you're now essentially dividing the player hangout areas among other maps. Rather than people hanging out and talking in the FM, they might just go to their respective guild maps and hang out there with only their guildmates. Basically what I'm trying to say is that it would separate the playerbase.

While this may introduce concern for some, it might introduce both a stronger guild community, and competition between guilds, if a stronger community around it grows.
Friends are always reachable through chats, and the infamous maple messenger. While a guild in all its essence, is a small community. And it is merely in its rightfulness that such sub-communities should have their own private place to hang out. Many new players, as well as those with smaller friend lists, may find these places more comfortable, with more privacy and even make it possible to connect to their guild in a stronger way.
The choice of hanging out there, is equal to the choice of hanging out in every other map, but there.

I get what you're saying but I don't think that this separating would happen lol.
Currently, I already hang out with my friends and guildies in our own "secret guild HQ" It's not like I go to FM CC1 to do that... But I guess some people do go there to talk for some reason o_O I would go crazy

It's our own choice where we want to hangout with people. It's not like I'm forced to go the FM to hangout. There are a million maps in MS... adding one more isn't going to create the great divide.

Neat idea, I'd also like to add that if we were to have this, make it unlockable through GPQ points, that way there'd be more motivation to do GPQ and it'd only reward the dedicated guilds instead of just handing them out like we do with bans.

I have some questions (for anyone really):

What would the Headquarter look like? How big would the map be, and what would be in the map? Would a guild leader be able to choose a theme for their Headquarter, or would all guilds have the same looking one?

What is the point of a guild vault? Can you give some examples as to where it would be useful? Would all guild members be able to deposit items, or would they also need a passcode?

I strongly support the idea of the guild headquarter, but despite I still agree to the conveniency of the guild vault, I see too many flaws within the system.

What I am concerned about is that the guild vault system will bring conflicts to the equity amongst the guild members, as the differentiation of accessibility will stigmatize the guild members and create uncomfortable tensions between them. I might be going into too much details, but this is definitely a matter that could happen.

Not only that, this has another potential abusive usage, as players can avoid high rates of taxation through the guild storage. I personally think this is a huge game breaking feature, since this is a whole new level of bargaining from tax reduction.

But I really like the idea of having a place where guild members can hangout and socialize.

With regard to the guild headquarters, on the server I was on before, it was a map created by one of the guild members. The admin then put the map into the WZ files, and an NPC was placed in the FM that allowed you to warp to that hangout as long as you were a member of the guild. The map was pretty large actually, not sure if there was a size limit. There was a vending machine from NLC in there so guildies could get their gingers as well. This was the biggest guild in the game and kind of favored by the admin, but they also paid a pretty penny to get the headquarters.

I'm working on getting screenshots from old players as to what it looked like. I'm hoping they can chime in this thread to provide more insight and correct any mistakes I made. Looking at you Pon, olk, and anyone else!

What my idea of the headquarter is, is a selection of handpicked maps. These maps are picked out beforehand. The size of those does not have to be any large. Just a selection of maps of different themes. Maps that actually look like a "headquarters" If you need examples of these i can provide a few.

A new idea i was messaged with in-game, was the addition of a mob in which you could damage, and later on check how much damage you were able to do, to measure your dps. This would of course have to be a still-standing, non-damaging mob, with extreme amounts of health, with zero drops. (Maybe with a timer-npc nearby to give you a timer?) #Guildheadquarterfeatures

For the vault idea, the function is to be able to share items in general. What items? The items anyone with a passcode would like to place there. In earlier servers we kept a mule, where we dropped of items that we would considered "donated" to the guild. This could be equips we no longer used, and wished that someone else in the guild could use, or ores that someone would have use of later. Its really up to each guild/player to decide what would be suitable for the storage. In my opinion, the ability to deposit mesos is not necessary .

The passcode/pin/access is something the guild leader would distribute. This is to ensure that the members who have access are trusted by the guild. Note that this is the guild leaders responsibility, and not and wether or not his trust is put in the wrong place, in not anyone else's concern

As for the ability of abuse, this is the responsibility of the guild leader. Giving access to people which are trusted. Guilds in general have their rules, and i'm sure a guild leader would be able to form a certain set of rules regarding the storage.

As said earlier, this is where guild members store their shared items. Mesos excluded. I don't see how taxation would be reduced, since it does not apply to items directly.

This sounds great! Even though i think it would be easier if there were a certain set of maps picked out beforehand, that gave the guild leader an ability to choose from certain "themes".

I don't have any experience with guild vaults but I'd imagine that if a guild wanted to make some INT equips for washing, a vault would allow easy sharing amongst its members.

Suggestion: Vaults could be only be opened by guild master and juniors? That could introduce some tangible consequence for masters in deciding who to promote.

Yes, this is one of the great ways the vault works. My guild has always had an to store those on a separate account in previous servers.

While it might look easy, only letting Jr Members have access to the vault, it would draw a parallel between inviting rights, and access. It would be easier having a certain lock on it, not mixing together who would be recruiting and who could have access. I imagine some guild would have a bit more liberal standing of who they would want to have access in their vault. It would be easier if there was another way of not conflicting ranking and access to the vault, in my opinion.

I think the guild leader should be able to add any member to have access and remove them whenever.
Would also be nice to have a logg of the people taking out items, to easier keep track.
