After playing Royals for only about 2 days I only have one urk with the server. The party quests. Much like GMS people will farm a specific point or reach a certain point and abandon the quest. While that's fine for exp it makes pq'ing very tedious and have less entertainment value than grinding. One thing that could possibly done is to change the exp rates at which people achieve in pq's. For example in ludi decrease exp in the first few stages but provide a higher exp bonus for beating the boss of the pq. Or have it where the item pool can give better items. Small things, but just a suggestion to consider to make the entertainment of pq's better.
The whole point of the nostalgic server is to mimic GMS as closely as possible, while removing the pay-to-win aspects. The fact that people are still doing the same thing they used to means its working correctly.
I don't know about you but I don't remember rushing the first 3 stages over and over again like a robot. That's just me though
In PQs, especially long ones like OPQ and LPQ, I do remember doing this. If you remember smuggling in OPQ, that was the whole point of it.
I vaguely remember that, but that's why I'm saying their be better incentives for finishing out the PQ. Like a higher exp reward or a new item drop or something along those lines.
Absolutely like the Idea, just because something is "nostalgic" doesnt mean it is fun or working like it was intended to be.
My crews in GMS cleared Alishar. People here just don't like the boxes, because they're impatient and lazy.
If you want to do a PQ all the way through to completion, look for a party that will do that. I'm sure you aren't alone. Changing the entire server for something that can be accomplished by better choosing who you party with doesn't make sense.
Part of issue is that people are lazy, they wish to just get exp the fastest way possible and not enjoy the PQ. That is a generalization though. I'm sure there are definitely people out there who would love to finish it just like myself. However, all I mostly come across are just 2-3 parties at a given time, who are just rushing.
Pretty sure we already buffed the EXP from the later stages... Maybe, not enough? Or maybe they don't know what the EXP is since they never do it.
Hahaha fair enough. I personally don't know since I myself haven't gotten that far. Thank you both for the feedback.
Our job is to convince other players about that repeating stage 1~ stage 3 like an automated machine process gives less exp then completing a full pq, and form a party which are willing to do a full pq. If we don't manage to form one or find one, well just unlucky I guess
On my time LPQing in this server, I have completed very few full LPQs. I've met many players that really like the idea of completing the whole PQ, and I've never had a problem going for it. The issue is sometimes you get kicked randomly or two people hit the same box and everyone gets disconnected. Naturally, this is quite annoying as there are stages that take quite long to complete - like the one where you collect four passes each and you need a mage and a thief (or pirate?) or stage 8, the numbered boxes - and you get dc'd halfway through the stage, or someone else does while carrying passes. I don't think it's a matter of being lazy, it's efficiency. As for GMS, When I Ludi PQed, I remember going for the full PQ. It was mostly because worlds were packed with people auto clicking the stop sign npc. If you got in the PQ, you'd just go for the whole thing rather than the first three stages. I don't think a lot of people OPQ in this server and I'm not even sure if its enabled, but if I recall correctly, smuggling is what made it a good alternative for fast exp. Since that's now allowed, I can imagine you won't find a lot of players going for it. They've got LMPQ anyway. A relatively nice incentive for completing PQs are the rewards obtained from completing some a certain amount of them or killing the boss. Broken glasses for example. I doubt many people would go for them, but still nice and good for new players.
Dont have a char in lpq range but id love the idea of full LPQ runs might start a LPQ mule or something xD.
