A lot of people make multiple characters for storage or for a different class. Many of us want to continue to talk to our friends but don't want to add them/use up their buddy list. Now, I don't know if this is possible on MapleRoyals but it would be awesome.
I could see a lot of loopholes / people being hacked due to flaws. Is the risk worth the reward... unlikely
People have tried to bring this up in the past but it's always been shot down for some reason or another If it's possible, I support it. But even then, a lot of people make their players on a bunch of different accounts. For example, you don't want your bishop, se mule, and main to all be on the same account. I don't think it would work out as well as we would all like.
The main problem I see with this system is a majority of people make an entire new account for their new character for leech/buff/shop purposes. I might be wrong but I believe this system was for if you log on a character the same account as your main. The buddylist itself is also pretty glitchy as it is. I imagine using this system would be extremely difficult with the source we use/are going to use
I don't really see much of a point in this kind of system seeing as there's only one world, and only a handful of character slots.
It's not simple to do those stuff, most of this updates do not support old versions client, and i'm negative about this idea anyways, again, Royals are doing GREAT job getting rid of the annoying things from the old MapleStory such as : Leveling , Ships waiting , pay2win & much more, but those are the main ones. so I don't see a reason why we need a better buddylist system.. v83 one seems just fine to me.
