I was going through the technical help forum when I noticed that some threads would not load, even though I could still view other threads before and after viewing a bad thread. I've tried using IE, Firefox, Chrome, and even wget on the bad threads and all of them would fail. The common link I noticed is that every thread that wouldn't load had "password" in the URL. (EDIT: I mean "password" not "pass". "Pass" being in the thread title doesn't cause issues which is why I used that and not "password".) The specific error I get in the browser for those threads is: The connection was reset The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. Has anyone else reported a similar issue? Here are some threads I can't view. Can anyone else view them? royals.ms/forum/threads/i-cannot-remember-my-username-and-password.34196/ /forum/threads/forogt-password.34519/ /forum/threads/forgotten-control-panel-password.34510/ /forum/threads/forgot-my-password.31432/ /forum/threads/need-a-password-change.29726/ /forum/threads/i-request-a-password-change-shorter-by-mistake-in-the-forum.29012/ /forum/threads/recover-account-forgot-password.28496/ /forum/threads/change-password.28307/ /forum/threads/forgot-my-password-please-help.27848/ /forum/threads/request-a-password-change.24909/ /forum/threads/weird-password-issues.24657/ (Can new users not post full links? I get a spam notice when I try to post with full URLs. It should be okay with the rules since it's still part of MapleRoyals.) I think it's specific to MapleRoyals because URLs for other websites with "password" work fine for me. (Not sure why they wouldn't, but I figured it was worth trying.) I have tried resetting the internet on my computer and my router. If I consistently ping royals.ms, I will always get results. Even when I try to view any of the above threads, there is no noticeable pause or delay in the ping.
Works fine for me: http://royals.ms/forum/threads/pass-in-the-url-causes-threads-to-not-load.40552/ yup, still works
Loading those URLs works fine for me in Safari and Chrome on OS X. My guess is you're behind some sort of proxy which is using word based filtering to prevent you from loading pages.
Okay, loading them on my phone seemed to work so long as I used mobile data and not wifi. Very odd though since other URLs with "password" seem to work regardless of connection used and only MapleRoyals has this issue for me.
