Since I recruit people straight at level 1 into my guild, I've learned some of the problems new new players have. And one thing I've heard many times, is "Is this server 1/1/1?" And I tell them "No. It's 4/4/2. It's just Maple Island that is 1/2/2" And they're like "Oh. I was about to quit haha" Players keep quitting because they think that they're experiencing x4 EXP on Maple Island. It might be nice to let them know that they're feeling 1x EXP, and that they will hit x4 EXP once they land on Maple Island. That way, they know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. A nice, obvious dialogue box as soon as they land in Snail Hunting Ground I, maybe? or maybe have Robin say it above his head, at least. This ever going to be implemented?
+1, I agree with this. This would help players with 3rd job advancement as well. Although they could personally search the forums themselves, they would know about this beforehand.
+1 i quit the first time i joined for a few months until stumbling upon that info later through a friend
Oh definitely. This confused me to. +1 Ps. I like you, old guild leader. Sorry I left your guild, but I don't really qualify as "new" anymore. Didn't want to take up space. I like what you're doing with it.
Keep in mind that the 4x exp starts working once you either: -Leave the island or -Hit lvl 11 If you stay on the island, you will have 4x exp once you hit lvl 11
And if you use a character that is level 11+ on Maple Island to leech your alt on Maple Island, your alt will get that x4 EXP leech. A much faster way to get your alts through Maple Island.
Is this ever going to be implemented? I still get questions constantly about why the EXP is so low. People keep quitting because they think that the slow EXP on Maple Island is actually 4x EXP, and they leave.
Intuitively, the first command I did when I arrived in MR was ~help, which directed me to ~rates. I can't really remember what it showed in the first map, but I guess it was the rate of 1/2/2? But still, this would be a good suggestion. Thumbs up for this.
