So I just got it today, and whenever I try to play it, it ends up closing without warning. In the first few attempts there was a pop-up from the "Windows Compatibility Checker", and it would say that it changed some compatibility's so the game would run. I changed it to every compatibility, and some of them wont even let the game open, popping up with an error. I think this has something to do with me being on window's eight, as alot of other people have the problem. After disabling my Windows Compatibility Checker, the game keeps closing, but without the warning. Any Help?
If you can't open the game because you get a parameter incorrect it should be fixed by using windows 98 compatibility. For your other problem when does the game close?, are you able to login to the game?
I can open the game just fine (On some compatibility's, Window's 98 being one of them). But on the ones it does open it, after a few minutes of gameplay it just. Shuts down. I can get past the login and everthing, but if I wait to long there it will shut down there. I usually have enough time to get into the game, and mess around a bit. But then it just closes.
I would guess you have some security program that could cause it. Or it could be your network, can you try with another connection like using your phone's network for your computer to login.
Im not sure what security problems it would be. Firewall, or what? As for connections, what do you mean login using my phone? I thought you could only log in while your in game (Unless of course you meant use a mobile hotspot.)
I meant hotspot. Some antivirus programs do cause problems with Royals. I really dislike Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Security Essentials, as I believe those have to be uninstalled.
Would webroot secure anywhere be causing it? I have it all disabled because it said that Mapleroyals had "Malware" on it. There may still be conflict with it though.
Funny you would say that, I was just thinking about that one, I have never used it but have had other people here having to uninstall it. If you try uninstall it don't forget to restart your computer after.
Hmm... I would uninstall it, but I kind of need it. I have it all disabled and everything, so I dont see why it would sill be a problem.
If you have another computer you could try on that. It's either your computer or network, not a problem with the server.
