Alright so here's the deal, when I launch I get a message saying "error code : - x (numbers) (wrong parameter)" I looked this issue up and people often tell me so run the game at Windows 98 or whatever. When I try to switch to that the entire thing is grayed out so it doesn't really work. This is on Windows 8.1, I'll provide some screenshots. Anyone else got this problem and has found a solution? Thanks in advance.
Yeah I've tried that now, I can switch down to Windows Vista but that's it, doesn't help either :/ It seems to start the game 1 out of 10 times tho, but really annoying since the game randomly crashes aswell when changing maps..

Oh that worked, am able to switch down to Windows 95 now! Sadly that didn't work but I think I've found a fix. Switching my resolution all the way down to 1024 x 768 makes it start every single time. Kinda annoying to have to change resolution everytime I start Maple but atleast it works. Thanks!

I'm getting this error too! The game was playing fine and then I logged out to vote and since then I've been getting the error and am unable to launch the game :/
I have window 8 but I found that I can launch the game from the file folder. I think it was just the shortcut to the game launch that somehow got messed up. I can log in so it's all good now! Thank you for your reply.
Ohh, if you want a desktop shortcut you need to right click the client and select make a copy and drag it to your desktop.
