So this happened. Spoiler: Spoiler It doesn't happen often, more or less like every few days. BUT, when it does happen it's such a burden When the boxes do come up and block my screen I'm usually just buying pots/grinding/talking to a npc/faming someone/etc. To solve the issue, I have to task manger the program and change screen size(game card graphic) and if that doesn't work, I literally have to wait hrs for the client to re-downloading Royals. Is anyone out there having the same problem? I couldn't find an answer nor the exact problem in the forums, thus I decided to make my own.
I'm using a HP Laptop w/ windows 10, 64 bit. Another issues that coincide with my first problem. Spoiler: Spoiler I had to delete anything maplestory related on my computer because Royal wouldn't open after I force quit due to the black boxes. And after I deleted everything and re-downloaded the setup/wz. files so I could play, this error message comes up. I've never had this error pop up, and I've download the game a handful of time this week.
I would assume that error is from a broken download. You have to uninstall Royals in the control panel before you install it again. Probably have to redownload if the setup gives that error again. Do you use any extra monitor to your computer? Maybe you have a very high resolution or maybe something like different resolution on your graphic card and and desktop screen resolution, I only guess that there is some graphic problem.
Do you have your UAC on? If you do, can you try switching it off? After you do so, restart your computer and do another fresh install of Maple Royals please.
No extra monitor, nothing connected to my laptop. I download the game again and it works perfectly fine due to m pressing buttons and clicking things I shouldn't be clicking. What's UAC?
WOW.. did not know that. Switched it off, is this going to help me with the boxes? Or does this just help me with the download process? Because both are just wonderful either way! :')
It should help with the error code. As far as the boxes, I'll try to find a solution to that as well.
Thank you, thank you, oh thank you so much! I restarted my computer, and the game seems to open without a hassle now.
First thing you should try doing is running the Setup.exe file in your Royals folder. Edit: The black boxes went away as well?
I don't know if the black boxes went away, they usually come at random times. I double click Setup.exe like the mapleroyal application?
It just opens up Maple, but it opens up smoother and a lot faster then before. I don't even have to stretch my screen with the thingy mingy to play, thank you!!!
@DontBanPlz Hey, Hi awesome person.. Sooo... these black boxes are back again and their VERY angry. It won't leave my screen now.. I restart my computer. Deleted Royals and re-downloaded and it's still there!!
Damn, I was worried about that. Was excited when I didn't hear from you for awhile in this thread (in a good way). First thing, try running the Setup.exe
Also, when do these boxes start to appear, and when did they first start to appear? Like, when you first started getting these artifacts, did you install any new programs, change any settings, etc? And how far into Maple, gaming, or using your laptop in general do they start to appear? Do you notice if your laptop is hot when they appear?
